"We have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and been really pleased with the experience. This time it was mixed. The public room was pleasant and it was good to see a real fire. When we arrived we had a drink from the bar and were lucky to get seats next to the fire and were nice and cosy. Unfortunately, the rest of the room was chilly as evidenced by the number of blankets stored in baskets. Our room had an unpleasant odour and put it down to perhaps a broken seal on the drains. "Lovely place to stop on our big drive. It’s a golf club but had lots to do padel courts/ tennis…we went on a lovely cycle ride to some lakes and saw otters. The swimming

is really nice and refreshing and rooms very comfortable. The restaurant is good but service very slow and they forgot my daughters meal at supper….and at breakfast I had to wait 30 mins to find any staff to order a coffee. Apart from that the front desk were very helpful. "

"A basic hotel for a basic price. Although all was present and available, the beds could be a little better, the airco was working but only on or off, no lo speed so we had to switch it off during the night. Very friendly and helpful staff. The swimming

was a plus with the hot weather. From the hotel it’s a 20 min walk to the old Perouges. "
