Breakfast was a basic small variety of cold and hot food.

My cousin and I stayed at the Courtyard Marriott Charlotte Northlake while visiting a cousin we hadn’t seen in years. As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I expected a higher level of service. I want to start by recognizing the front desk staff, who were friendly, welcoming, and professional during both check-in and check-out. Our room was also clean upon arrival. Unfortunately, several issues impacted our stay. When we checked in, our room had only one towel and one washcloth for two guests. The front desk provided a few extra towels but explained that was all they had available. The next day, we returned to find our room had not been serviced. After several unanswered phone calls and being placed on hold, we were informed that housekeeping is only provided every three days and that we would need to pick up clean towels from the front desk. This policy was never explained at check-in. The following morning, we asked a housekeeper outside our room for clean towels and were told there were none available. Running out of clean towels is something I would not expect from a Marriott property. We also noticed the lobby market had very limited snacks and no bottled water available. To make matters worse, the air conditioner in our room leaked overnight, soaking my shoes after I left them on the floor. The staff were courteous throughout our stay, and I appreciate their professionalism. However, friendly service cannot make up for a lack of basic necessities like clean towels.
