(1,442 reviews) The whole family loved the vacation, even though the children preferred the pool above everything else. I really didn't understand them with the beautiful blue ocean right there. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel store was a good place to pick up a few additional items or a snack. There were so many options for eating. All of the restaurants were top notch. It was very convenient having a Starbucks inside the hotel. It was easy to get around the property using the shuttles and everything was within walking distance if the mood hit us to walk. I, especially, liked the water park. The lazy river required a little paddling, but it was still a lot of fun. The water slides were amazing. The hotel staff was friendly and curteous. The rooms were cleaned daily. The children already want to go back for another trip. The pool table sags in the center. The air hockey table doesn’t work. There was no ball for fuss ball table. Despite being an all-inclusive resort, tip jars were everywhere. We were unable to get reservations at any à la carte restaurant all week; this is done via app. The buildings need cleaning and renovations. The beach is superb. The room was quiet except one night when neighbors were speaking loudly after midnight. The trapeze show was stunning. The buffet food was excellent. The staff was friendly. Checking in and out was easy. This was my third stay at Viva Fortuna. I will return if they update facilities and equipment.
