"My trip unfortunately had to be cancelled after my flight was cancelled, and this hotel refused to refund me. I find this to be terrible customer service, as this was completely out of my hands and there was no possible way for me to get to my destination due to the circumstances. I am extremely disappointed by this and am hoping to somehow come to a fair resolution. "

"The cleanliness of the hotel was appalling. There’s an overwhelming smell that greets you as soon as you enter the building that sets the standard for the cleanliness of the rest of the stay that is to come:The linens from the towels to the sheets had stains throughout. Paint chipping off the wall in the bathroom and what I could only imagine was grease stains from previous guest on the barely filled toiletries in the shower. Thankfully the smell of the lobby only lingers into the hallways, from what I witnessed was caused by cussing staff dragging leaking garbage.The convenience of side entrances are not secured by any means. We travel with safety in mind and I did not even feel safe going out to my car unless I had my firearm on my person at all times. I’ve stayed at quality hotels in the past and this is by far the worst location I’ve ever been at, I would expect this from the super 8 next doors! We had to travel into a town for a funeral and thought this would be our best option. Despite our circumstances of funeral arrangements and choosing to leave early the hotel management would not extend us a refund! Buyers beware, if you attempt to checkout early at all you will still be charged for your entire trip! "

The host, Ed, was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful—he provided drinking water, butter, milk, and a few other staples, and even surprised us with a delicious carrot cake.It’s an ideal spot to relax with someone you love—whether you’re playing games, grilling, or simply enjoying the peaceful river just steps from the cabin. The hot tub was especially enjoyable at night and made the experience even more special.We’re already planning another trip back. Thanks so much, Ed!"

"So I’m not one to complain. However there was a spot in the bathroom on the front side of the sink that had pee on it. Not a HUGE deal. I mean yeah gross but it was an easy spot to miss. However, when I said something at check out about our room not being cleaned the best, she said “well maintenance might’ve been in there working” and what? Peed on the wall? lol so I told her I’m not trying to be a nuisance or looking to get anything for free and I was just letting them know. Whatever, again, not a big deal. Then when we got home, I started itching really bad. I have bites all over my body. I’m not one to make a big deal outta things and I feel bad for leaving a crappy review but I’ve never had anything like this happen before. My husband and I used to come here to celebrate our anniversary and we’ve always loved it. Needless to say it’s extremely run down, and we won’t be back. I didn’t see any bed bugs because we did (kinda) check. We weren’t very thorough due to being there before with no issues. However I have multiple clusters of bites all over. Book at your own risk of course"

"shower was terrible, very poor outlet, water amount, could not move it for different height ppl. got up in morning for breakfast, went at 6:30 (was supposed to start at 6) heat tray was "out of order" waffle maker was not set up and ready, nor was waffle batter. 2 apples,3 banana's, some bread? that is what you call breakfast? thank goodness Bob Evans was just across the street. "
