Grand kids had great time, in swimming pool and the staff hospitality was great and friendly.

Great historic location. Room was spacious and the hotel was surrounded with places to walk.

We had a wonderful stay at Compass Rose Lodge. It’s clear that every detail has been thoughtfully curated—from the mint truffles on the bed to the excellent coffee and sandwiches available on-site. One of the highlights was the observatory tour. It wasn’t just a peek at the stars; it included a brief tour of the property and its rich history, including a scale model of the solar system with the sun right there on the grounds! This scale is about 13 miles long but starts with the sun. We also loved learning about the first ski chairlift and the family history behind the lodge—it really added a personal touch. This place is more than a place to sleep—it's an experience. We’d definitely stay again!
