Perfect blend of historic and modern.
Really nice place and a great location for skiing or local restaurants at the bottom of the mountain. I would stay here again anytime whether it be winter spring summer or fall.

Luxury and charm
It was like staying in a 4 star hotel and, at the same time, a quaint/charming old cottage. We cooked and ate in and the kitchen was pleasant in every respect. The king bedroom was totally comfortable. The bathroom shower was a treat. All furniture inside was in excellent condition and comfortable. Susan was great to work with and went out of her way to take care of us. We left feeling quite renewed and grateful.

Great location!!!
Our family had a wonderful stay! The cabin is warm and cozy, but with plenty of room. We enjoyed the beautiful property and the sound of rushing water! I wish our stay could have lasted longer!!!

Girls weekend wine trip
My two girlfriends and I stayed at Susan’s property for the weekend to venture out and go winetasting in the region. The house was super cozy and had everything that we needed! Susan was very responsive to any questions that we had. The property is great and we were surprised with a babbling brook at the front of the house.It was great to listen to as we sat on the screened in porch drinking our coffee. We will definitely stay here again!

Our long weekend was great. The cottage exceeded our expectations. The cottage was clean comfortable and nicely furnished. Check in was so easy. Communication with the owner was excellent. The location was perfect. We were close to all our favorite wineries, breweries and cideries We even discovered a few new favorites. Bluebird is a definite repeat for us!

Relaxing cottage
Wonderful secluded cottage. Beautifully decorated and so comfortable. Best bed I've ever slept in. Next to serene stream that you can hear from porch. Wildlife everywhere! Deer came right up to the door. Close to town for meals, ice cream, shopping. Will definitely return.

Perfect location!
We enjoyed this spacious home and the outdoors it had to offer. It's the perfect location to good hiking trails along with breweries nearby. Good find and worth a return stay!

we had the best time in roseland! the house was perfect for our group of 4, very modern, and so close to the ski resort. everything was clean and the amenities were fabulous. we can’t wait to come back and already talked about making this an annual trip for our group!

Great spot
Wonderful little cottage. Plenty of room for four people. Kitchen and bathroom were very nice. Property location was very nice and that it was easy to get to the top of the mountain and also easy to get to area restaurants. Will definitely stay there again.

Beautifully renovated cottage in wonderful location!
We spent Thanksgiving weekend with our 2 adult children (so, 4 adults total) in this adorable cottage. It was clean and spacious and comfortable! And our host was extremely kind and generous (allowed us an early check-in and leisurely check-out, plus offered to get us a roasting pan if we were cooking a turkey!) We cooked all weekend and had absolutely everything we needed! We took several hikes in the beautiful surroundings mountains and visited a brewery from one of the many nearby. We had a fabulous long weekend at Bluebird Cottage and will be back!

Perfect Weekend Getaway
We loved staying at Bluebird Cottage last weekend. Not that we spent very much time at the house, but it was very quiet, comfortable, and clean, and was a great home base for enjoying the local breweries and hiking opportunities. There’s a great view of the mountains out of the bedroom window, which was a very nice bonus. We have a lot more to explore in Rockfish Valley and the surrounding areas, and will definitely be looking to stay here again when we return.

Never disappointed
More than we expected. Only problem was the wind. It never slowed down for three days. Planned on fly fishing each day but went Brewery and Winery hopping instead. Win win. Prime color change for the leaves. Hope to return next year and stay a few days longer

Mountains 40th Birthday Trip

Great Getaway Location!
My husband and I snuck away from the grind for a few days to enjoy his old stomping grounds at the Tye River, cycled along the Blue Ridge Parkway, and enjoyed the local cidery and breweries. Easy drive, immaculate house, with lots of outdoor areas to enjoy.

Great place!
The cabin was very clean and we loved the way it was decorated. The king mattress in the master bedroom was very comfortable. During our stay, we hiked crab tree falls (about a 25-30 minute drive), visited Devil's Backbone (less than a mile away) and Bold Rock Cidery (just a few miles away). The owner was very responsive. It was a great weekend getaway!

Serene & Comfortable
We enjoyed a comfortable and serene stay while having a weekend getaway hiking Crabtree Falls. The house has a great private yard next to a stream with picturesque views. It's located conveniently near restaurants and fuel stations and has all new amenities. Communication with the owners was easy and fast.
