Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
A very new, clean, and well built home, with 3 bedrooms upstairs; very modern and functional kitchen, and the back two decks (upper and lower) looked out over a peaceful valley, with NO other buildings or signs of mankind in sight,
so it's a great place to stay and relax; only 10 minute drive to a few great places to eat.
Can recommend this place highly ! ejw
Cabin was beautiful! Very clean, comfortable and plenty of room. Decks and fire pit were great. Very close to all the great hiking trails.
Had a wonderful time
Cabin is very clean. Conveniently located, easy access to many points of interests in RRG. Communication with host was very timely and cordial. Host was very hospitable. Would stay here again.
We absolutely loved the view from the back porch. We were lucky enough to get a couple of thunderstorms which are amazing when you are at the gorge. Definitely recommend this beautiful property.
Property was clean, everything we needed. Views were amazing from the back deck. Water from the shower head could be better. This is definitely a property we intend to visit again.
Comfortable home, remote and peaceful location. But few things should be improved: dining room table missing a chair, couch had a huge slit in one corner, toilet had urine ring, kitchen cabinets, counter were greasy, cobwebs in bathroom,Gravel road up to cabin pareas.
This cabin was the perfect place for some fun family downtime. The view from the back deck was spectacular! The cabin was the perfect place to relax, play some family games, read a book and makes some s’mores around a campfire. We liked the atmosphere so much we ended up adding on an additional day to our stay!
The cabin was wonderful, and just what we were looking for. The view from the decks were amazing. The only issue we had was no water the first night...but they came out and fixed it within a few hours. It was a perfect place to stay nearby hiking & kayaking. We will definitely be back to visit.
What a view! We very much enjoyed our stay in the Skyline Chalet. It was our first time to Red River Gorge, and the location was perfect for the items on our to-do list. Plenty of space and bedrooms/bathrooms for us all. Love the serenity and peacefulness being out in nature, and not on top of neighbors. Loved the porches and fire pit area. Would recommend!
We stayed at the Skyline Chalet for a weekend climbing trip with friends. The property was amazing with amazing views across the valley. The property was cozy, well furnished and located far away from traffic and other rental properties to feel nicely secluded. The check in/check out process was simple, easy and pain free. I would reccomend this property for anybody looking for a nice getaway in the Gorge.
We had an incredible time at this cabin. We have stayed in the Smokies numerous times and the view from the back porch was almost as good as a Mountain View! The cabin was very clean, and had comfortable beds. Our kids (5, 3, and 1) loved playing outside on the porch and by the fire pit. We were 10-15 minutes from several restaurants and 20-30 minutes from the best trails for hiking. We would definitely come back and stay here again!
If you are looking to spend time away from your daily grind look no further than Skyline Chalet! This chalet has all the comforts of home but away from all the hustle. Management staff made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us during our stay. The chalet is spacious but still feels cozy. It is well furnished with attention to the little things. Recommend anyone wanting to just get away from it all look no further.
Overall this place is amazing, 3 bedrooms 3 bathrooms (a lot of space for sure!). The view off both balconies was great ( if they cut down the small group of trees on the right side, this place would have an AMAZING sunset view). Be careful with one of the bedrooms there were 3 wasps in the room when we first came. Place was really clean, had a washer and dryer with complimentary washer pods. Only issue which was resolved in a timely manner was the trash can, was full when we got there. I called management and they took care of it next day. Overall great stay!
Once you find the cabin, it's lovely inside. The view out the back is outstanding. The accommodations were very nice. A few things marred what could have been a excellent experience. We were attending a destination wedding. There was no place in the entire cabin to hang clothes. Internet service did not work, so TVs did not work. On 2nd day, the water stopped flowing, due to an empty tank that required the fire department to refill. It was filled after 4 or 5 hours but too late for a family member to wash up for the wedding. The management company was very helpful with the problems we encountered.
The cabin can be very difficult to find and there is almost no signs or clarity about the road for the address. The cabin was very clean and orderly as we arrived. This cabin had limited cookware. We noticed one of the dining table chairs was badly broken and was balanced in place beside the table. Then a second one that was broken and had been loosely repaired with some wood screws. The amenities listed for the property indicated a barbecue grill. It should be noted that is a one that is like the public outdoor cooking surfaces that are found in the parks or campgrounds. The washer kept popping the breaker. The bathroom on the main floor has an issue with the door. It only opens about 25% of the full opening and then gets stuck onto the laminate floor. One upstairs shower leaks and it started dripping onto the couch below. The days of our stay the ambient outdoor temperature was mid to upper 80’s and some 90’s.The temperature inside the cabin reached a high of 80 on the evening of the 7th. We called at bed time to report the issue with our cooling and received a reply the following day at 10:30. An HVAC technician arrived at the property at 3:15 pm. The indication was there was nothing that could be resolved because the system was grossly inadequate for the space. There was no resolution during our stay. The majority of our group ended the stay early due to the inability to manage the temperature within the cabin during sleep hours. One chair upstairs also had a broken leg
Everything was perfect on our hiking trip and staying in this beautiful cabin completed our trip! The host was so very nice and helpful. I will definitely check them out the next time we visit this area!
