The lake was great, such a fun time! The cabin was more run down than expected, and the mattresses were not the best, but overall everything was pretty good. The staff was excellent and the access to the lake was great. The kids had the best time! We very much enjoyed our stay!
We booked this cabin for a weekend following a youth mission trip in Pike County, Kentucky. We had a group of nine, and this cabin suited our needs perfectly. There was ample room for all of us, and three bathrooms certainly helped with managing showers and such! Everyone enjoyed evenings around a fire or in the hot tub. The cabin was clean and the management company was easy to work with. I would recommend this location without hesitation!

it was ok
The property needs to be updated. The carpets are dirty and some of the linens are stained. The kitchen needs updated and the bathrooms are just minimal. The mattresses need updated. The cabin itself is ok. Theres a nice deck and the windows are nice. The living room furniture is nice.
We rented this property to go kyaking at SUP/kyaking Gorge Underground. Perfet location or that, hiking or sightseeing. There is no handicapped access to this property.
We thoroughly enjoyed the location and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Everyone, from adults to children, had a fantastic time. As mentioned by others, the place could have been a bit tidier. We even found an empty beer bottle under the coffee table. One of the photos depicted a canoe, but unfortunately, there wasn’t one available for us to use. On the bright side, the hot tub was spotless and we really enjoyed the lake! I assumed the lake was closer to the home, although it’s not far at all, you do need to cross a little street to get there. But this wasn’t an issue at all! This was my first VRBO and I’m pretty pleased with this stay.
Mattresses were terrible. Clean, but all mattresses felt like the middle was missing. You kept rolling into the middle of the bed. Showers were very small. Other than that nice place.
An absolutely beautiful location! We loved how close it was to everything Very beautiful and quiet Red point bbq and the rockhouse food is super close and literally the best food u will eat 10 stars for sure!!The location was the best eveything for the gorge and lots of hiking trails from 2 - 20 min away so it was amazing. The driveway for the house can be alittle tricky to get into but dont take long to figure out,The house is amazing, there are not many towles and washcloths we didnt have enough for everyone plis with swimming and the hot tub we had to wash towles morning and night.Eveyhting i need u need to bring they have pots and pans but not enough dishes or any seasoning coffee or anything no laundry soap or anything so jusy bring everything,Also the tv is very old and out of date u can't watch anything besides a few channels and a dvds if u bring them. But all in all would rent again beatiful location and beautiful house!Hot tub worked gr8!!

Ok I'm going to start with the great things about this cabin!1) location is amazing. Great gated neighborhood, close to main hikes, restaurants and activities. 2) the lake is gorgeous and well kept. Great windows and view. 3) nice cozy, cabin feel, this cabin truly has amazing potential! We had a great time at the RRG. The not so great: 1) the kitchen is poorly equipped. There are only 4 eating knives and maybe 6 forks for a 10 person cabin. No cutting board, we found ONE wine glass and maybe 4 regular glasses. Bring disposable everything because you will struggle. 2) they don't provide any pods for the dishwasher and the machine itself drains soap into the floor.3) linens were stained and smelled of humidity. 4) TV is old. Bring your chromecast or Amazon fire.5) I tried to contact the property managers a couple of times ( the grill had no gas, and I wanted to know where to leave the key on my way out and there were NO checkout instructions). And I never could get ahold of anyone. Ever. Overall, we had a great time. The area is breathtaking and this cabin truly has the potential to be an ever more incredible spot. It just needs some love and attention to detail.
I would never recommend or rent here or with this company again. It was gross. Mold in the bathrooms, grout never been cleaned, cockroaches in the kitchen, mold filled washing machine, hand rail hadn’t been cleaned maybe ever, finger prints all over the walls and doors. The house would be beautiful if cleaned. I spent over 1K for two nights and can’t believe how disgusting it was. I should’ve read the previous reviews. Will never go here again.

Overall, it was good. We were not aware. It was a shared lake with other properties. This wasn’t readily apparent in the listing. The listing said that there was a canoe and the canoe had a hole in it and wasn’t functional. They did not tell us that we needed to get paddles from the office where we picked up our keys, the toilet in the laundry room did not function properly. Evelyn was too heavy for the women to lift even with the help of the lid lifter. Hot tub was dingy when we arrived cleared up with some pouring however could’ve been better. That were very hard and uncomfortable for the most part. Otherwise it’s a very cozy cabin.
Overall our stay was great, but there needs to be some major deep cleaning done. The fans were thick with dust and the doors/cabinets/banister railing/ baseboards looked like they have never been wiped down. One of the beds upstairs needs to be replaced as it sagged in the center so bad that both people that slept in the bed kept gravitating to the center making it an uncomfortable sleep for both. One of the French doors on the porch is starting to sag and was super hard to use/open. A side from some deep cleaning and a few repairs/replacements our overall stay was great. It accommodated our needs, our children had a blast swimming/fishing in the lake and lots of wonderful memories were made.
I am sending you a letter in the morning .... loved the cabin ..... just some notes for you to be aware of...... I sent pics on Sat. per the office lady.
Thank you for being so accommodating with our reservations.
Also .... there was a wonderful lady with 2 kids that brought in things from our car. Just such a nice thing to do!

Needs new beds, etc
All beds need replaced and needs new mattress covers. Main level bedroom we could not use due to looking like the bed had bed bugs.
