This location makes for a great getaway at the Outerbanks to spend an entire day (and night). The location is popular for fishing and is ideal for landscape and astro photography. You can have lots of fun on some of the dunes, although getting the sand out afterwards is a big hassle. This is one of my favorite images from this location. I love the warm light tones and the shadows that create a contrast in the foreground sand. It is created from a single exposure with only minor modifications made to adjust overall contrast and brightness. If you are interested in wildlife, the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge is nearby and is a very popular location. House was set on cove with tons of possibilities for entertainment. We fished the sound every day we were there. Trout, Striper, Redfish, and Rays. Enjoyed every minute. It is right on the sound and only a short walk/drive to many beach accesses. Just what my family needed a nice relaxing week away. The house offered pretty decent kitchenware, dishes, and appliances. Some of the best that we have actually seen in a vacation property. The only thing I would say is that the kitchen table is a bit sticky, even after being cleaned. Also some of the lights, especially outside need to be replaced! All in all this house is great for a large family, has plenty of space for everyone to have their own space.
