A short stroll offers easy access to the beach, and for an even closer dip, your private swimming pool and surrounding patio are just steps away. You can soak in the six-person hot tub, rinse off in the outdoor shower, and use the charcoal grill to cook up a meal as the day winds down. If that meal should include the fresh catch you reeled in from a fishing excursion, there’s a fish-cleaning table with water to help you prep. Four of the home’s bedrooms occupy the first level. There’s a king and a queen bedroom that offer access to a shaded deck, the perfect place to take a break from the sun with your preferred beach read. A pyramid bunk room and one with two singles are perfect for the kids. All of the bedrooms feature Smart TVs and share two full baths. The final bedroom, a king with attached bath and access to a sundeck, is located on the second level. This location makes for a great getaway at the Outerbanks to spend an entire day (and night). The location is popular for fishing and is ideal for landscape and astro photography. You can have lots of fun on some of the dunes, although getting the sand out afterwards is a big hassle. This is one of my favorite images from this location. I love the warm light tones and the shadows that create a contrast in the foreground sand. It is created from a single exposure with only minor modifications made to adjust overall contrast and brightness. If you are interested in wildlife, the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge is nearby and is a very popular location.
