"This is my SECOND COMMENT to our stay on SEP 16-18, 2026. I hope this one does not negate the nice long first one I wrote. But I must comment that the SHOWER in room #518 is a lovely tiled walls/floor, with all-glass sliding door. There are NO GRAB BARS, and no door handles! One tiny nubbin of metal on the door to try and hold on to, to balance or to open the door. I wish I could tell the owners this, who have taken such great care to details in other areas of this hotel. I felt very UNSAFE in that shower! Please install grab bars or a seat!"

"We had an amazing stay here in September 2026! Everything about the hotel was excellent. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with beautiful mountain views. The location was fantastic — right at the end of the main street in downtown Banff, so it was quiet while still being within easy walking distance of plenty of restaurants and shops. For breakfast, we really enjoyed Sally and Great Folk. Both were excellent, but Great Folk was outstanding — one of the best breakfasts we had during our trip. There are so many great hikes nearby, which made the location even better. We also loved the hotel’s hot tubs, pools, and sauna — they were perfect after a long day of hiking. The staff were amazing, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. Parking was easy and convenient as well. Honestly, we had nothing negative to say about this hotel. Everything was excellent, from the room and location to the amenities and service. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Banff!"

"It’s a beautiful old hotel kept in good shape. The only thing I would say that was not good was the maid service. We were there 3 nights and had to ask for someone to clean the room and give us fresh supplies each day. For a relatively expensive hotel, that shouldn’t have been necessary"
