Each season brings its own magic: the fiery colors in fall, crunching through snow in the winter, new life in spring and sports and activities in the summer! The 2000 s.f. log home known as 'The Bungalow" offers a romantic fireplace, 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, office/bedroom + huge entertainment room. The home is completely equipped with a full kitchen including a dishwasher. Hostess readily available. Enjoy complete privacy after a busy day, hang with friends or family, check on horseback riding at nearby Ironwoodsprings.com. Miles of marked hiking trails along the river. Weather was warm for Feb in MN so grounds were soggy and did not allow us to hike and explore the trails on the property. House was clean and all amenities required were found in bathrooms and kitchen. We enjoyed exploring Rochester finding several great dining spots. Hope to return in summer to experience the surroundings of this unique hideway log house.

Nice getaway!

The Bungalow was just what our family needed, a few days away from the hustle and bustle. Really enjoyed the trails (went for walks at least twice a day) and the loft, for hanging out. Would stay again.

The wooded acreage was beautiful with trails and river vistas to enjoy. The yard, patio, front porch, fire ring, fire wood, and grill were ours to use at will. The rooms themselves were comfortable and well kept. We greatly enjoyed our stay, and you will not find a more helpful and communicative host than Barb. We highly recommend the Bungalow!

Restore by the Fireplace

Our family loved our stay! The place was perfect for our family of five and dog. We built fires in the fireplace, grilled chicken on the grill, roasted marshmallows over the campfire, took king walks on the trails and played a lot of games of darts. We also enjoyed driving up to Rochester to visit Cafe Aqui. Highly recommend this spot.

Peaceful nature

We had a wonderful stay and the dogs loved the trails in the woods. Chocolate, the neighbor’s horse was a sweetheart, as was Zippy the other neighbor’s dog! The space was great and we enjoyed having the loft to puzzle in and watch movies. We will be back:)

Beautiful Setting

Stayed 3 weeks. It was wonderful. Especially liked the trails for hiking with our dog. It was close to Rochester and Stewartville had a nice grocery called Fareway. Also had a good place for pizza called 2 Brothers. My son liked the proximity to Anytime Fitness too.

Cozy!!

We had a wonderful stay at the bungalow. Everything was just as described, and we couldn’t have been more comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the trails and having time together in the cozy cabin, playing darts, and sitting and talking by the fire. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to get away from a busy life and just relax in the beautiful wooded cottage.

Bliss at the Bungalow

Barb’s Bungalow is an absolutely charming property! We stayed for a pre-wedding ladies retreat and couldn’t be happier. We had plenty of space to spread out our yoga mats in front of the wood burning fireplace. The game room upstairs was perfect for relaxing with our books, and we very much enjoyed walking the trails on the property. We can’t wait to come back for another adventure in the future!
