Single Level Living. Walk in shower. Located just 3 miles to downtown and the Mayo Clinic, the open concept layout in this two-bedroom home is very functional. A neutral color pallet and high-end finishes await inside. With everything located on one level, including laundry, this is the perfect home away from home. Book with us today! THE SPACE This house is perfect for anyone visiting Rochester for business purposes or guests with family members receiving treatment at Mayo Clinic. Guests must climb four steps to get into the house. Once inside everything is located on one level. AMENITITES • Fully equipped kitchen with gas cook-top and granite counters. • Luxurious bathroom with tile shower (no tub). • High speed internet. • Smart TVs in the living room and primary bedroom. • Two leather power recliners with built-in USB charging station. • Memory foam mattresses. • High-end linens. • Elongated toilet in bathroom. • Laundry on main floor - off the master bedroom. • Desk with office chair for remote working. • Access to the private back yard and patio. GUEST ACCESS Guests have access to the entire main level of this property. The house does have a lower-level apartment that is occupied. Those tenants enter via a separate entrance. At no time will the tenants enter the advertised STR. GUEST INTERACTION We live in town and are available if needed. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help during your stay. For your convenience, there is a magnet on the fridge with our contact information. CHECK IN INSTRUCTIONS The entrance to the home has a keypad. We will provide the code (4 digits) for the keypad on the day of your arrival. The keypad is located on the FRONT door. Type in the code and turn the deadbolt. For guests arriving late, the keypad is lighted, and the flood light will turn on as you approach the door. To lock as you come and go, press the logo on the keypad and turn the deadbolt to the lock position. Once inside there is a welcome letter with the WIFI password and other instructions and other important information like when to take out the garbage bins. PARKING Free off-street parking is available just steps from the front door. When you arrive, pull in the driveway and park next to the newly poured concrete pad. GARBAGE AND RECYCLING The bins are located in the driveway. Service is on Monday. Bring the bins to the curb on Sunday night. THERMOSTAT The thermostat is in the hallway across from the bathroom. Leave the fan set to “ON” and try to keep the temperature between 68°-74° as it controls the temperature for both units. Do NOT turn it off at any time. RULES • Treat this home as you would your own. • Maximum 3 guests only. • Absolutely no unauthorized overnight guests. CHECK OUT INSTRUCTIONS • Log out of any online accounts. • Do the dishes. • Set the thermostat to 72°. • $100 minimum charge to mail any forgotten items. • We will take care of everything else. NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW This home is located on a commercially zoned street with only three other neighbors. The street is somewhat busy during the week 8:00am - 5:00pm, but quiets down in the evenings. The weekends are quiet as well. GETTING AROUND Located just three blocks from Broadway Avenue, the main thoroughfare through the city, getting around very easy. ​A vehicle is not necessary but may be desired. Most major stores have two locations in town. It is likely you will find whatever you need in a 10-mile radius. If you find yourself downtown with a vehicle, the parking ramps and meters are free after 6:00pm. Three-four miles from Mayo. Perfect as we spent everyday there for hours. Our son cannot utilize one of his legs and has to use crutches for mobility. The one story was imperative. The open floor plan, open bathroom-shower was perfect for his situation. We would rather cook than go out due to allergies so the kitchen worked well for us. When we were inside the the house, we never noticed any traffic. The area is not the smartest location in Rochester but it felt safe. There were lists of eateries nearby and it was easy to find and to drive to the Mayo Clinic. The only downside is there was only one proper desk so the other workspace was the kitchen island. ##### Robert B. Any issues that came up were immediately addressed. They were very workable when we needed to split our payment over multiple cards since VRBO does not currently offer that ability. I needed to work while in Rochester for a month so high-speed internet and wi-fi were important. We had no problems with either, and there is an office space in a corner of the living room just for that purpose so I didn't have to set up shop on a couch or the kitchen counter. John and Jill are sweet people and are very prompt in responding when we contacted them, going above and beyond to make sure our experience was first-class. The house has a well stocked kitchen including a Henckles knife set (brand new, super sharp) and Emeril Lagasse cookware plus numerous other items. I was able to prepare any dish I desired (I’m an amateur cook for over 40 years) so it was a great plus to have all the items and gadgets to make whatever I wanted. The house is located in an industrial area which was fine by us, plus it was not a well traveled road as one would think. There was no noise would could hear nor was there any real traffic going by. We chose this location based on the relative ease to get to the Mayo Clinic and we were staying for about a week and a half so it was important to have a short drive. It was so close, it took us 23 minutes to drive out of the driveway, drive to the clinic, park in the parking garage, go through security (we were checked every day since we had a backpack) and check in to the Chando building on the 8th floor. This by the way was done with getting a wheelchair out of the trunk, placing my wife in the chair and walking to our destination. The driveway was spacious enough to turn around in so that I just have the car ready to pull out. The home is close to Aldi, Walmart, Hy-vee (supermarket), liquor stores and numerous restaurants. I don’t think anything was more than a half mile away. Jill was a great host and if I ever return to the area, this is the place I want to be. 5 ##### Tom Z. It was cozy and wonderful – easy to fine with offstreet parking! It is on a busy street with not much yard, but perfect for adults!
