Location of property was several miles (on the other side of the island) from where the property was originally advertised (from the thumbtack in the map view). Once we paid, we where given a new detailed map with a new location location. Later we found out this new locatio was no where near the but still know where near the actual address. Our host wanted to pick us up from the ferry, for "only" $35. I said no thanks. She suggested again to have her arrange transpertation. I looked at the map which had the properties location, and said no we can walk it. We got to the location, but there was nothing there. We walked back and found a bar. No one at the bar knew anything about an appartment in the area. I showed them the detailed map issued after i paid, after we pay usually we are told where the key is and at least an address. We got neither. We asked a taxi driver, he knew of nothing. Someone said the pictures look like an appartment all the way on the other side of the island. They called found it was our appartment. We paid $40 for taxi rde which got us a little closer. Our host met us, and was glueless as to why i was mad. She drove us the rest of the way. The next day i showed her the locations (thumbtacks) of where she advertised her appartment, she said it was vrbo's fault. I showed her 2 other thumbtacks, that tw other thumbtacks that had pictures of the appartment we stayed at. She became defensive and said i am disrespctong her.
Petran was an absolutely wonderful host and a thoughtful guide. She picked us up from the ferry and took us to several locations plus It Bang Good, a wonderful food truck offering authentic barbecue pork and chicken.
She made certain that every detail in our stay was taken care of with courtesy and authenticity. Her property is quite a drive from town, but we were pleased to hear the enchanting birds and the goats which serenaded us. The view from the porch and the windows of the apartment offered the tranquility of a jungle like setting and the ocean within walking distance.
Petran is a delightful person with plenty of kindness and thoughtfulness to spare. We had to leave the next day, so she drove us to the hospital to get our Covid tests. She made certain we knew where to go and what to do when we made it back to the ferry.
There was no question that was unanswered. She talked about the British Virgin Islands, the tourism and banking, and explained a great deal about Road Town. She was a breath of fresh air in a hectic schedule.
Don't miss out on an authentic example of island living the way the residents live. It was clean, large, and offered plenty of beautiful views.

Well maintained and orderly apartment. Quiet with a nice view. Owner Petran super-helpful and easy to communicate with. Location is removed from Road Town and other centers, so if your plan is to tour Tortola a rental car would be important.
