Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Rivers Inlet?
The best area to stay in Rivers Inlet is at one of the floating lodges, as these offer the most convenient and comprehensive experience.

These lodges are typically moored in sheltered coves or inlets, providing direct access to the prime fishing grounds and stunning natural scenery. They are self-contained communities, offering accommodation, dining, and all necessary equipment and guides for fishing and other activities. The general layout often includes a main lodge building for dining and socialising, with individual guest cabins or rooms connected by boardwalks.

For avid anglers, the floating lodges are an excellent fit. They are specifically designed for fishing expeditions, providing expert guides who know the local waters intimately, top-of-the-range fishing gear, and facilities for processing your catch. You're right on the water, ready to go at a moment's notice.

Couples looking for a unique wilderness escape will also find the floating lodges appealing. Beyond fishing, many lodges offer opportunities for wildlife viewing, kayaking, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
