"We reserved the room for our nephew and we stayed at another hotel in town because the Red Bear didn't have additional rooms at the time. I went in with him to register and the desk attendant was wonderful. Very personable and professional. My nephew said the room was great. Exceptionally clean and very comfortable. He said he would definitely stay there again."

"The room itself was spotlessly clean. There was a refrigerator and microwave. The walk in shower was large, had great water pressure and there was plenty of hot water. The is a private outdoor seating area with a picnic table and another small table and chairs with an absolutely beautiful view. The room was decorated as you would expect, rustic which added to the charm of the area. There were extra towels and toiletries. There were unfortunately a few negatives to our stay. Their is contactless check in as the hotel is not staffed. The keypad to the door is terrible. It took us 6 tries to get the door open. Another guest came out of his room to assist us and said they had the same issue. Even then it locked us out for too many failed attempts. Later when we returned to the room after dinner it still took multiple attempts to open the door. Family that was staying in the next room said it also took them numerous attempts to get into their room. The other negative is the lack of upkeep on the exterior specifically the parking lot and immediate surrounding area of the hotel. The parking lot and planters are full of weeds, there are 2 old dumpsters next to the hotel and the original restaurant building is in general disrepair. We had many times in the past eaten at the hotel when visiting Ennis and loved the look of the entire complex. The room was not inexpensive..$175.00 a night. Hopefully they will take pride in the appearance of the hotel and maintain it."

"The property was great and had everything we could have needed. The view was fabulous. We stayed for a week and were able to work part of the time and use the cabin as our home base for other excursions. It was a great place to come home to... and the Wifi worked great when we needed to work. We enjoyed using the table in the loft to play some games as well. It fit our needs perfectly and we loved the area!"

"What a wonderful experience! Couldn’t have been more convenient to everything in Ennis. Everything worked the first time, internet, tv, appliances, lockbox, everything! The home was well appointed with everything we needed and it was cozy and comfortable. We highly recommend this property and will be back if we are back to the area. Look for the friendly deer who wandered right into the yard one morning! What a wonderful find! Loved it!"
