9/10 Wonderful! (141 reviews)
What a gem of a place! It's run by two folks who clearly put a lot of care, attention, and hospitality knowledge into the experience. I loved the location which was across from a bus stop that runs right into town, next to a grocery store, and within short walking distance of the lovely Ascona waterfront. It was also a good location for morning runs. The breakfast was good and while I didn't try the restaurant, it had lively crowds and the food looked delicious. Highly recommend!

8.8/10 Excellent! (654 reviews)
I know most people aren't as keen on walking as myself, but when you come out of the main entrance of the train station and turn right and carry straight on, you will come to this hotel in about twenty minutes. The hotel itself is big, spacious, and close to the shore of the lake with views across towards Italy. The breakfast is excellent.
The staff at reception were very helpful as I had managed to double-book my 1-night stay and we were able to sort things out.

Does Expedia offer Book Now, Pay Later Riveo holidays?
Expedia has partnered with online lender Klarna to make your next trip easier on your hip pocket. Paying in instalments means you can spread the costs of your dream holiday, leaving you with more money to spend while you're travelling. Klarna has several payment plans to choose from, so you're sure to find one that suits your budget. Browse these flexible payment options:
- Pay monthly holidays: If paying small amounts each month sounds best for you, Klarna offers just that! Paying in easy monthly instalments will make that dream holiday possible.
- Pay in instalments holidays: If you'd prefer to pay off your escape in multiple transactions, holidays paid in instalments might be the right option for your Book Now, Pay Later holiday through Klarna.
- Low deposit holidays: If paying a small percentage of your trip (rather than all of it upfront) makes it easier to click that "book now" button, consider a low deposit holiday payment plan from Klarna.
Where should I stay in Riveo?
With popular attractions like Bosco Gurin and Fusio in this area, try to find a hotel near them. Chiesa di San Giovanni Battista is another sight in Riveo that visitors flock to.

How far in advance should I book my Riveo holiday?
It's hard to pick the best time for airfares, but we usually say the earlier, the better. Most international journeys on Expedia become available up to 12 months in advance. If you're booking late, don't stress. Low prices occasionally appear within a few weeks of departure dates.
