The place was GREAT! The property and related trail and overlook is so convenient to capture a stunning view (would be even better in warmer spring weather)!!The place was clean, airy and very functional. The host Al was incredibly responsive and friendly. He is there to make your stay terrific! We recommend this place and it's access to Cloudland and other the outdoor attractions!
Beautiful property with amazing views, we very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much for letting us use this place, it was so close to Cloudland Canyon, and the fall is an amazing time to visit.
Overall, great place to stay! Very clean and well stocked. Beautiful location! One down side, the jets in the hot tub do not work well! Such a bummer when we were looking forward to using it (and booked because it had one).I would consider another stay if the hot tub was repaired or replaced.
We wanted quiet and peaceful and close to Chattanooga. This was all of that. There were beautiful sunset views, awesome trails on property, and modern amenities in the middle of the forest atop Lookout Mountain.
The house was very cute and clean. The location was beautiful. Our host was easy to contact if needed and was accommodating. More chairs by the fire would have been nice and a grill would have made grilling easier than using just the grate on the fire. The fact dogs are welcome was also great. Thank you!
This updated and clean mid century house was perfect. It was very comfortable. Seeing deer every morning was a treat. We were in town for a wedding at Cloudland Canyon and this was wonderful. The owner was very nice and let us know about some hiking trails on the property and directed us to a beautiful overlook with an incredible view. We will definitely be back!!!!
My best friend and I did a girls trip to Northern TN/Southern GA. We have several dogs and were working remotely part of the time. Having the desk off one of the second bedrooms was great for a second workspace. The fenced in yard was perfect for the dogs, and the hiking trail on the property has a beautiful view! Would definitely stay here again.
Al is great! Excellent communicator and exceptional host.
We drove in just as a storm had gone through about midnight. There was a tree blocking the road. He quickly responded (at midnight) and rerouted us to the house. The house was amazing. The hike on trail in the back yard was our favorite part of the entire trip! Completely worth it! The owner was super helpful the entire trip. It was a great stay!
This home was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. It was a perfect home for our dogs due to the fenced in yard and doggie door. We were able to be gone from the property without fear of the dogs having accidents. The property is wooded. We saw deer and rabbits. We saw a fox on the road exiting the property. When we went to the overlook on the property, it was awe inspiring. The location is perfect in proximity for hiking at Cloudland Canyon. The host is friendly, helpful, and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this property as a home away from home to get away from the hustle and bustle, enjoy nature by day, and then enjoy incredibly nice showers and beds by night.
Al was a terrific host! He responded very quickly to all of our questions. The house is beautiful, very clean and comfortable. It is a pretty setting. We would definitely return if ever in the area again!
Perfect vacation. Wonderful house. I'm not understanding the complaints for the "warehouse" because it's just a barn on the property that is rented out. You "might" see someone stop by it once or twice but its not a big deal at all. The owner has thought of everything you need! Stocked coffe, laundry detergent, plenty of towels and trash bags...all the things I usually have to bring tons of. Also, theres not a laundry list to do at check out. Theres actually no list. Have fun, enjoy the breathtaking trails on the property and leave at the end. Best Vrbo vacation so far. (This is my 4th Vrbo)
Our entire family had unforgettable time and we'll be coming back! We learned about the property from Instagram and I have to say- it exceeded our expectations. Property host was quick to respond and recommend local restaurants and places to visit.
Such a well thought through house and surroundings- spacious living room, absolutely gorgeous bedrooms, modern bathrooms, steam shower, hottub, doggydoor and fenced in backyard for our puppy, gorgeous backyard with a swing and a firepit. Hiking trails are gorgeous and have several places with chairs to enjoy breathtaking views, but we really enjoyed coming back to this newly remodeled house to relax, have a cup of tea (tea and coffee were provided by the host), roast marshmallows, have a spa like experience in a steamshower, and relax. I can't wait to come back for a longer vacation. 100% my favorite place in forever!
First off, the house itself is just as advertised. The land around it is beautiful. Hot tub room was clean and it is a unique property. We had a perfectly nice time. Lower end review is that not included in the photos is a massive, and I mean massive warehouse right next to car port. We found out 3 hours before arrival that the owner would possibly be on the property, which I understand can be the case, but would always be advertised. It was not. Neither was the warehouse. Cameras everywhere on the warehouse as well and the property owner was generally there the whole time. We did not personally see him, but his truck was there. Felt as though we were being watched. Impossible to cook sadly, the fire alarm tripped each time we cooked. It was cramped. Luckily there is a window there and we made due. Owner is very responsive, offered to replace the toaster that burnt everything we put in it within seconds. For us, if the owner is on property, it should be disclosed and the warehouse should be visible in photos. The rest of the house was as advertised. Place should be cheaper if owner stays on property, in my opinion. Too bad really, could be a 5/5 place if it were actually private as you are lead to believe. Oh, and a Roomba banged into furniture each morning at 5:30 am scaring the kids half to death. We thought there was a break-in the first morning.
