Boasting an enclosed private garden with outdoor seating and two bedrooms, the property provides a comfortable and stylish base when holidaying in Yorkshire. Whether you’re planning a family staycation or a getaway with friends, Green Willow will certainly provide memories to treasure. It is also dog friendly so pups can enjoy a relaxing retreat too! The Space: With a traditional and homely interior, Green Willow has a spacious and comfortable living room. With two comfy matching sofas, a coffee table and a flat-screen TV, this is the perfect space to retreat to in the evening after a busy day exploring all that Masham and the surrounding area has to offer. The open fire in the room will also create a cosy feel for guests staying in the winter months. To the rear of the downstairs space is where you’ll find the open-plan kitchen-diner. With four chairs surrounding the round wooden dining table, all guests will be able to enjoy hearty meals in comfort at Green Willow. The kitchen itself is well equipped with modern appliances, ensuring that you’ll be able to make the most of your self-catering stay in Masham. Also downstairs is the family bathroom. Clean and modern, this shower room also has a WC and wash basin. Guests will also have use of a separate WC upstairs at Green Willow. The master bedroom boasts a tranquil king size bed, whilst the second bedroom has two singles. Please note that our cleaning team can adapt the beds in each bedroom to guests’ needs due to them both being zip and links. Please get in touch upon booking Green Willow with your requested bed layout. The space at Green Willow doesn’t end inside. Outside you’ll find a good sized west facing garden with a table, seating and barbecue all available for use. The outhouse boasts a washing machine, as well as adequate storage in the large outhouse for guests to store their belongings, including bikes. There is also an outdoor tap and hose for cleaning muddy paws and boots. Guest Access: Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Green Willow are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. The Neighborhood: The delightful market town of Masham is situated in the breathtakingly beautiful region of Lower Wensleydale. The town itself boasts a large Georgian market square, said to be one of the largest in England. With a range of local shops, tearooms and great places to eat, Masham is a popular destination all year round. Masham is also famous for its family-run breweries, steam engines and annual sheep fair. Both the Black Sheep Brewery and Theakston Brewery offer tours from their visitor centre. With a thriving creative community, you can enjoy watercolour paintings, screen prints, poetry and much more from local artists. Miles of stunning walks and bike trails can be enjoyed from the doorstep which allow you to explore the surroundings of the Yorkshire Dales from morning until night. Masham is often part of the Tour De Yorkshire route so if you’re interested in road cycling, you’ll find plenty of great routes around the area. There are plenty of places to explore during your stay including Swinton Estate, Hackfall Woods, Thorpe Perrow Arboretum, Forbidden Corner, Lightwater Valley and The Wensleydale Railway to name a few. The popular towns of Ripon, Thirsk, Northallerton, Richmond and Harrogate are within easy reach so you’ll have plenty of new places to discover. Getting Around: Masham is only 15 minutes from the A1 so it’s very easily accessible by car. Harrogate and Darlington are only 40 minutes drive from Masham while York, Leeds, Newcastle and Teesside are all about an hour by car. There are a large number of bus routes which run through Masham to other local towns and villages such as Ripon, Harrogate and Bedale allowing you to explore the area with ease. The nearest train stations are Northallerton and Thirsk if you prefer to travel by rail.
