Find hotels in Rincón from £57

The best areas to stay in Rincón are Puntas and the area around the town centre, each offering a distinct experience.

Puntas, located on the northern side of Rincón, is known for its beautiful beaches and relaxed atmosphere. This area is home to the famous Domes Beach and Maria's Beach, popular for surfing, and features numerous guesthouses and holiday rentals tucked into the hillsides. It's a bit spread out, so having a rental car is advisable for easy exploration of its various cafes, surf shops, and scenic viewpoints.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will find Puntas ideal. The area offers stunning sunsets over the ocean, often enjoyed from hillside accommodations with private balconies. Many establishments here cater to a laid-back lifestyle, great for unwinding and enjoying the natural beauty of the coast.

For those who prefer to be closer to local amenities and a bit more activity, the area around the town centre is an excellent choice. This central part of Rincón is home to the main plaza, where you'll find local shops, restaurants, and the iconic lighthouse. It's more walkable than Puntas, with many accommodations within easy reach of the waterfront and dining options.

Families often appreciate the convenience of staying near the town centre. There are calmer swimming beaches nearby, like Balneario de Rincón, and the central plaza frequently hosts local events and craft markets, providing entertainment for all ages.

The best time to visit Rincón is during the dry season, from December to May, when the weather is consistently sunny and pleasant, superb for outdoor activities.

This period offers excellent conditions for surfing, with reliable swells attracting surfers from around the globe. It's also ideal for those wanting to enjoy the beaches, explore the town, or go snorkelling and diving, as the waters are generally calm and clear.

For travellers prioritising good weather and a lively option, especially those looking for prime surfing conditions or a busy social scene, these months are perfect. You'll find most restaurants and shops operating at full capacity, and there's a buzz about town.

While this is the peak season, it generally means higher prices and more visitors. However, for those seeking the best Rincón experience with guaranteed sunshine and all activities available, it's well worth it.

Rincón's nightlife is primarily centred around a few key areas, offering a relaxed, beach-focused experience.

The area around the Plaza Pública (town square) in downtown Rincón offers a collection of casual bars and eateries. You'll find places with outdoor seating where locals and visitors gather for drinks and conversation, often with live music on weekends. It's a good spot for a laid-back evening.

Moving towards the coast, the Puntas neighbourhood, particularly around the "lighthouse" area, has a concentration of bars and establishments suiting the surfing community and visitors. These spots often feature open-air settings, DJs, or live bands playing reggae, rock, and local music. You'll find places for dancing as well as more relaxed beach bars.

Further south, the Corcega Beach area has a few beachfront bars that are popular for sunset drinks and continue into the evening.
