Convenient and comfortable

Posted 13-Jun-2018
Unfortunately there were a few problems with our room on our first night, but as we checked in quite late and the hotel was full the staff were sympathetic but unable to help us. However the following morning we were promptly changed to another room. The rooms are quite simply furnished but comfortable. Breakfast was very busy. A good selection of hot and cold food was available along a long corridor and it wasn’t always easy getting past people or to the food, table space was also limited and one morning we had to wait for seats to become available. The hotel is extremely well located, within an easy or reasonable walk to anywhere we wanted to go. If we ever return to Riga we would stay here again.

Central location

Posted 20-May-2018
Centrally located in the oldest building in Riga's old town. Rooms are spacious but lighting is inadequate. Bathroom is fine with a strong shower. They provide earplugs but I didn't hear too much noise from outside though this will no doubt change as summer sets in and tourists revel in the Old Town. Staff at Reception okay but not too helpful in advising on boat tours etc. They sell one tour and claim not to know anything about other tours. Breakfast was quite adequate, but again not much by way of staff support.

Nice hotel in the centre of the Old City

Posted 15-May-2018
The Konventa Seta is a lovely hotel. The staff were excellent. Nothing was a trouble for them. They were polite and very helpful. The hotel lounge/ bar is comfortable and the breakfasts were very good. A wide range of food and efficient staff. Good value and in a perfect location. Into the bargain you are staying in one of Riga's old buildings. The bedroom was a good size and had all the essentials. The hotel was ideal for our purposes and I would strongly recommend it to others.

Hotel and restaurants

Posted 28-Apr-2018
Pros: Definitely the wonderful breakfasts
Cons: Milk in rooms to have with a cup of tea or coffee. Also earl grey teabags in rooms as none were in our room.
Location: Location was perfect. Near to bars and restaurants and churches.
Wonderful breakfast. Everything you could possibly want. Fantastic restaurants. One restaurant in particular stuck out for us and that was called The Garlic. Amazing food there and wonderful jazz style laid back music played. It was excellent!

Pros: the setting and quitness
Cons: looking to the price and setting it was very good as it was/is
Location: being in the center of the city you have all possibilities
nice hotel in a very cozy setting as it is an old convent with seperate buildings. As said very quiet as no cars are allowed there and also the breakfast (brunch) had a lot of variety

Cozy hotel right in the old town's centre.

Nice hotel, close to everywhere , nice and friendly hotel staff, fine choice for breakfast , only one down side of our overall stay was that shower gel run out and no replacement, apart from that everything was good and I would recommend this hotel to friends and family , if we ever go back to Riga we will definitely consider to stay in the same hotel .

Central hotel for sightseeing

Posted 09-Apr-2018
Pros: Comfortable and warm. It was very cold outside (March)
Cons: The breakfast arrangements
Location: All attractions in the old town were readily accessible
Great hotel for access to all popular sights in the old town. Depending on room, could be quite noisy at night. The breakfast arrangements were interesting. Most mornings we had to share a table with other guests which was not an issue for us but some guests were not keen on this idea. The facilities were small and very cramped to serve the number of people arriving for breakfast. The food was adequate but not very interesting.
