Nice hotel. Simpe, but clean room. No elevator in the building we stayed in, so had to carry heavy suitcases up.

Great location, huge difference in price by date,

Posted 28-Jul-2017
Pros: Location.
Cons: Coffee makin g in room.
Location: Great location in old Riga
We really like the old town location and the large room. The price was very high the first two days (360 euros a night) then very reasonable (90 euros a night ) so be aware. The fire doors in our nearest fire escape were locked and stayed that way after we mentioned this to the front desk. Breakfast is good but boring after a few days. Nothing special. Would state tgerevagaindue to its location.

great value for money at the heart of the Old Town

The room was huge, relatively cheaper, squeaky clean and in a great location. What else I can ask for.

Hotel review

Pros: Cleanliness, and ease of access to Old Riga.
Location: Riga is a beautiful city, unfortunately I was not here this time as a tourist, but to complete a body of work. However, there are many sights to see
Visiting Riga to complete major report for my work, (unrelated to Riga, but needed to be away from distractions of home). Hotel was perfect, quiet, clean, and central to Riga so I could take breaks from writing and get out into the city. The staff were exceedingly helpful and polite always.

Very good for the price you pay, not many complaints, although the tv channels were non existant!

Excellent price/quality. Only wi-fi connection was very poor, acceptable at or near the reception, but almost non existing in the rooms. Excellent breakfast

Excellent value for money with a good restaurant.

Posted 15-Dec-2016
Pros: Everything!
Cons: The décor could be updated, but personally, I prefer the existing character of the hotel, and its moderate prices. Look elsewhere if you don't agree!
Location: All major sights, museums, opera are within walking distance, even the Art Nouveau district, centred on Elisabeteniela and Alberta, or use the tram.
The location of Konventa Seta cannot be bettered, right in the centre of Old Riga. Staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast, which is included, consists of a copious and varied buffet, all very well organised and good quality. One word of warning - if stairs might be a problem, ask for a room in the main building, No. 1, which is the only one served by an elevator. It is one of 7 buildings grouped around a courtyard and it is thanks to a previous reviewer that we were able to request this. Other reviewers have complained that the décor was 'dated' - to our mind a frivolous complaint considering the moderate price of entirely acceptable accommodation with a good standard of cleanliness. Do not overlook the in-house restaurant, which offers excellent quality, again at a most reasonable price compared with other establishments. I would rate Konventa Seta at 4.9 based on our experience of rooms in Building 1. We did not see the other buildings but are sure the very helpful staff would be happy to resolve any potential problems. Well done to them for providing a warm and comfortable welcome to the beautiful city of Riga!
