Started out a bit bumpy with the parking situation. Had to park in public lot that cost $31 for the night. Not happy about that! Asha turned things around! She is kind and professional. She definitely knows how to make an unhappy customer happy! Thank you Asha!

We use to stay at this hotel regularly prior to moving out of state, and my husband and I were both excited for our return stay. The first morning we ordered breakfast, there was a flying bug in my pancakes. I’m not sure if it came from the food container or the bathroom because I found the same type of small fly in the bathroom later. There were also small ants on the bathroom floor. In addition, the hotel used to have a wonderful dinner menu. The menu is poor, but even if the dinner menu weren’t poor. The food is poorly prepared overall. We had burned breakfast muffins. A soggy, grisly chicken dish for my niece’s graduation dinner celebration. Mind you, we paid for part of the reservation on Expedia. But, we paid for part of the reservation at the hotel at a price of $400 a night! The front desk staff were not what they use to be. They use to offer bottles of water. I asked for 2 bottles of water when we checked in, and the young lady at the front desk told me there was water in our room. Knowing that was a lie, we stopped at the vending machine on the way up to our room and stocked up on water. There were some lovely front desk staff, but she was truly unforgettable, and at a price tag of $400 a night. The only thing up to par was the valet service!!! Thank you Super Mario:) And, La Grotta Ristorante is right next door. The food there is fabulous!!! We are at the DoubleTree Hilton near the Airport now. Much better. It’s clean and Door Dash will do!

The hotel is nice, but not the nicest. Staff is great but the hotel could be cleaner and rooms could use some updating. Hotel guests can be loud and rowdy depending on the event that is going on. If you’re looking for nicer, more luxury aligned accommodations then seek elsewhere. It’s gone down a little bit since the last time I stayed 2 years ago.

Check in was very quick and easy. Parking was pricy at $41 per night. Valet team was super nice. Room was nicely sized and clean. One odd thing, the bathroom did not have a fan. The beds and pillow are awful. We all had a rough night sleeping and woke up with back pain. Check out was quick and easy.

I was underwhelmed by the dining options onsite. Restaurant by elevator was very poor quality. The bar/restaurant up front in the lobby was limited in what they offered and it was expensive for what you got (ie tartar did not come with any crisps or bread, lamb lollipops had no potato,pasta,rice or veg accompaniment so just a plate of meat). Also shower/tubs need redoing and some areas could use a paint. Oh and lastly, widows have zero noise reduction it is soooo loud. I was on the 4th floor and could hear peoples shoes on the sidewalk….plus everything else. Was great for what i needed but other people might want this info.

Bathroom needed to be cleaned again after I got the room (hair in the tub). Room is getting worn. Bathtub is great but its so old and grungy I wont be using it. Shower enclosure light is broken. Doors and baseboards need paint as they are all scuffed and just don't look clean even if they are. Staff so far has been VERY accommodating and helpful. Top marks!

Worst Hotel Experience Ever
There was a huge group of teenagers staying at the hotel. They were running up and down the hall and yelling and down in the lobby yelling and screaming all night. At 2 am we called the front desk twice. The second time we were told that security was trying to deal with the large crowd. We finally called the non emergency number of the Richmond police department, who sent officers immediately. Our floor got quiet, but the noise in the lobby continued. We got no sleep and were unable to do the tourist attractions that we planned for the next day. It was the worst hotel experience we've ever had. I'm disappointed that the hotel didn't call the police themselves when their security couldn't handle the crowd.

We were very disappointed that this hotel charged additional ($40 nightly) for parking, and WiFi. It also didn’t offer complementary coffee unless you make it yourself in your room.

I'm sorry to hear of your disappointment. Yes, we do only have valet parking being in an urban / downtown area, as well only comp. coffee in your room. In the future if you sign up for Hilton Honors you will experience free wifi and other perks.
