Beautiful property. Most rooms have ocean views. Staff were very helpful. Nice to be able to walk to the town. Restaurants close by. Even a supermarket across the street. Also, easy to get from hotel to other places on the island. Would highly recommend.

The staff at the hotel were wonderful. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The amenities were great and enjoyable after a long day. The buffet breakfast was very good. Lots to choose from. The hotel is within walking distance of downtown and a grocery store.

Absolutely some of the friendliest and most accomodating staff we've ever had. On top of it all, the cuisine at the Terracotta Bar and Restaurant was exceptional whether it was breakfast, lunch, dinner, or late night room service. The spa/message options and proximity to incredible beaches and vistas only added to what was an absolutely magnificent experience for us. On top of it all, my fiancee is 5.5 months pregnant, and the entire staff always went out of their way to make sure she felt comfortable and had her needs put first. An absolute 5 star experience from start to finish, we cannot recommended Verde Mar highly enough!

Best hotel my Fiancee and I have stayed at. The room and hotel was clean, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They even left a cake in my room on my birthday, such a lovely experience. Would love to come back anytime. :)

This was the perfect place to stay - right in the beach, central to everywhere we wanted to go, and the indoor pool, steam room and sauna was a perfect way to end the day. The staff is very welcoming, even bringing me cake and a card for my birthday.

The ocean view was sensational and the king size bed was much appreciated. The indoor pool and spa was clean and warm enough to enjoy. The breakfast buffet was the BEST!

I like the view for the swim pool. I don’t like the garbage can in the bathroom, when you step on it, it fell on your feet. And the middle of the two beds no table, not very convenient. Closet no auto light.

Excellent experience, overall. The hotel is gorgeous and the ocean views are unbeatable. The property is very well taken care of and the staff were awesome—very friendly and accommodating. Ribeira Grande is a bit remote from Central Ponta Delgada, but everything is far away around the island anyway. A rental car is a must in São Miguel and having a car will make your experience more enjoyable all around.

Lovely location, great views. The only thing I found disappointing was the quality of the food for breakfast which was not up to the standard of everything thing else about this hotel. Eg Powdered scrambled eggs are not cool

The hotel is in a good location, overlooking the ocean and withing walking distance to restaurants & shops, free parking. The hotel is quite new and has nice size rooms, well decorated and nice common areas, good spa, outdoor areas. The breakfast buffet was a bit repetitive (we were there 5 days) and it was the same each day. The dinner buffet was not worth the money - nothing was very good. The lunch options were good except hamburgers weren't cooked enough (make sure to ask for well done!). Wait staff were friendly & helpful.

We enjoyed being by the ocean and hearing the sound of thee waves. On a few occasions we saw surfers. A short walk took us to restaurants and the beach. The hotel staff are welcoming and helpful. There are a number of sitting areas inside and outside to enjoy the scenery. Very comfortable rooms, modern and clean. The food very good.

Nice stay
Over all a good stay. Rooms were comfortable and updated. The bed and pillows were firm. That is all a personal preference. The room was quiet, never heard a neighbor up or down. The ocean veiw was beautiful. Breakfast was ok. European buffet, if you know you know. Beans, runny eggs and hot dogs. Haha Everyone spoke english. It was very easy to communicate. Small village compaired to Donta Delgada.

While the hotel is on a busy street, once you are inside or at the back of the property you'd never know. It's quiet and beautiful with ocean views. The rooms were good size with all expected amenities. The spa area was also very enjoyable. Food and drinks were good. They had several new staff in the dining room who were obviously inexperienced but everyone was very kind and helpful.

We loved the hospitality and helpfulness of the staff, beautiful location along with all the amenities not to mention watching the surfers and loved watching the cows going about there business. It was a very charming experience.

The staff were super helpful and accommodating. We were at the pool/sauna almost daily, that was a really nice facility. And their breakfast buffet had gluten free bread options, which was a huge bonus - it's very challenging to find on the island.

Perfect Hotel in Great Area
Everything was perfect during our stay. Clean, comfortable, higher end hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. Highly Recommend. Also a great semi-central location on the northern side of the island. Only 20 minutes to Furnas area and 10 minutes to the tea plantations. Would definitely stay again.

Staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating- we arrived early after an all night flight, they allowed us to have breakfast and use spa facilities for much needed refresher, and they kept our bags late for us on last day as we had a fishing charter booked. Highly recommend! Plus facility and food are top notch!

Very welcoming and helpful staff, beautiful property, very comfortable rooms. Good breakfast and very easy parking. Fantastic location as a home base for day trips around the island with easy access to good highways.
