Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Riaba?
Given Riaba's small size and tranquil nature, the best area to stay is generally considered to be near the coast, particularly around the central part of the town where the main facilities are located.

This area offers convenient access to Riaba's quiet beaches and the few local establishments. You'll find the primary administrative buildings and the fishing port here, providing a glimpse into daily life. It's a very laid-back setting, ideal for those seeking a retreat from busy city life.

For couples looking for a peaceful escape, staying close to the coast offers the advantage of easy strolls along the beach and the opportunity to experience the town's relaxed pace. The gentle sounds of the ocean create a calming backdrop for a restful holiday.

Solo travellers seeking a quiet and authentic experience will also find this central coastal area suitable.
When is the best time to go to Riaba?
The best time to go to Riaba is during the dry season, which typically runs from November to March.

During these months, you'll experience less rainfall and more sunshine, making it ideal for exploring the island's natural beauty and enjoying outdoor activities. The weather is generally warm and pleasant, great for relaxing on the beaches or hiking through the lush landscapes. This period is particularly good for those looking to enjoy the island's natural attractions without the disruption of heavy downpours.

For travellers interested in wildlife, the dry season also offers better conditions for spotting local fauna, as animals are often more active and visible.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
You can cancel your hotel reservation on Expedia, though it depends on the cancellation policy of your booking. Most bookings are refundable if canceled within 24-48 hours of the scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. If free cancellation is available, you can cancel directly through your Expedia account by logging in, going to "My Trips", and selecting your reservation. To find flexible deals, filter your search by "Fully refundable property" for hotels in Riaba.
How much is the nightly rate at a Riaba hotel?
