Please note this is a multi-listing property. The apartments are located from first till seventh floor with limited City view. A perfect location to explore the local sightseeing, and a stone's throw away from the best restaurants and bars of Reykjavik. After enjoying downtown Reykjavik, cook up a lovely meal and enjoy a drink on the balconies. The Space: The apartment can accommodate four people. It has one bedroom with two single beds and a sofa bed (double) in the living room. The apartment comes with a fully-equipped kitchen that offers everything from a full-size stove and oven, dishwasher and microwave to cookware, tableware, and utensils. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and a hairdryer. A washer and dryer are available for your personal use. Cots, cribs, high seats and other children/baby furniture are available upon request. Guest Access: Check in at your own convenience with our simple self-check-in process. Check-in details will be sent via email before arrival, and support is available 24/7 if needed. Guests have access to the whole apartment. Everything within the apartment is private and for you to use at your convenience. The Neighborhood: The apartment is at the heart of Reykjavík, in a quiet area but close to the center for many activities, museums, and restaurants to explore. Enjoy a walk at the seaside of Reykjavik and visit the Sun Voyager and Harpa, one of Reykjavik's greatest landmarks. Start your day at Hlemmur Mathöll Food hall for an early brunch before you are ready to visit local museums, like the Settlement Exhibition or the National Museum of Iceland. As you are walking down Laugavegur, you will get the change to buy local souvenirs and visit boutiques with high-end products, most of which are Icelandic designed and produced. Getting Around: There is a pickup/drop off location for tours and airport transfers nearby called "Bus Stop 12 - Höfðatorg". The apartment at the heart of Reykjavík, so most museums and activities are in a walking distance. If you like to visit Perlan (panoramic view to Reykjavik), you can take the Hop On-Hop Off at "Hofdi House" or use the nearby central bus station Hlemmur. Both stops are within walking distance. There is an underground (paid) parking garage under Sif Apartments. There is also plenty of paid street parking during the day, which is free during the evenings/nights. We recommend using the app Parka for paying for parking. Other Things to Note: There is street parking in the area, free of charge after 21:00/9pm till 9:00 in the morning. There is also a parking garage (paid) under the building. It cost 24 hours but the price is very affordable after 18:00\. No reservation needed. Most of the area surrounding Sif Apartments is P2 Pay Zone. We recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip to Iceland, which covers issues as delayed baggage, travel accidents, weather trip cancellations and emergency overseas medical. EU members can use their European Health Insurance Card in Iceland (medical expenses). We have cameras monitoring the common areas of the building and front doors, for your safety Interaction with Guests: We are ALWAYS available for you for any matter. I think there should have been coffee, sugar, and milk. There was only coffee. I was confused on exactly where to park once I entered the building’s underground parking. It is a very large underground parking complex. Also, it was unclear on how to pay. You are supposed to check in first. I was unclear also on the name of the specific parking lot. The unit has its own laundry in the bathroom of the unit which was great. The shower curtain was way too small and water got everywhere. Thank goodness for the heated towel rack which we used to dry the towels we used to dry the wet floor after a shower. The beer restaurant in the neighboring hotel was good but not many eateries close to the place. Overall, it was a good spot.
