"We ended our 2 week road trying on Ring Road here. We wanted a warm place to come back to after going to the Blue Lagoon. My boyfriend took a shower and neither drain worked. The bathroom completely flooded and went into the carpet of the main room. We ended up cleaning it ourselves and asked to move to a different room but all were booked. I’m glad we found out before the blue lagoon so I was luckily able to shower there. I wish I went down to ask for a partial refund since the main reason we...
"I did not get my check in instructions ahead of time and was locked out on the first night. I had to pay 244 euros for a hotel. Neither summer day nor Expedia would refund me. Fraud as they blamed each other. The internet did not work in my room and the person who responded could only say “good luck”. Horrible place to stay. Would not recommend either summer day or Expedia. "
"modern, executive-level accommodations, with excellent service, beautiful views, and amazing breakfast delivered to our room. Great location, walkable, easy parking right in front of the building. "
"It was like a DIY motel with no one on duty most of the day. You had to have a code to enter. I called ahead about early check in and was told it would depend on availability. However when we got there, no one was there and we couldn't use our code at the entrance until exactly 3:00.
The breakfast was great."
"We were locked in the elevator had to call 911. Then the front door broke and no guests could get in or out. Then the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. When I called customer service to seek some compensation they attempted to tell me that it wasn’t their responsibility that the elevator in the hotel broke and the emergency call button wasn’t working. "
"I loved the proximity to the geothermal pool and the beautiful shoreside walk nearby. I was worried about the lack of a reception, but everything was well organized and worked out in the end! Appreciated the clean conditions of the property thanks to the hardworking cleaning staff. Takk!"

Fosshotel Reykjavik
10/10 Excellent
"The parking options weren’t ideal yet the staff helped us avoid high costs of the ramp. We walked to city center yet drove to sky lagoon. The beer garden was great after a long day of adventures. The breakfast buffet was wonderful - lots of fresh food and bakery items. "
"The exceptional service provided by the staff significantly enhanced the overall experience. I extend our sincere gratitude for their invaluable assistance."
"The concern about getting one of the 16 parking spots when we returned from an outing impacted our decision to go out by car, not wanting to have to park a rental car two blocks away in an uncontrolled parking lot. Surprisingly, we were always able to park on the property. "
Great villa in the center of Reykjavik on the most beautiful valley of the town

"We enjoyed our stay and Marco was a terrific host. He provided lots of information and recommendations for an easy stay. The neighborhood is quiet, friendly, walkable and only 10 short minutes to downtown by car or 7-minutes to Sky Lagoon or the beach. I would recommend and stay here again. The rental is up one flight of stairs to the main level. The ground level is a separate apartment and the rental listing is for the upper two floors and requires 14-stairs to access. "
"My husband and I enjoyed our stay. It was a great home base location to get where we wanted to visit during our stay. The neighbors were lovely and very kind. Don’t be put off by the neighborhood when you drive up. It seems to be only an industrial area but there are a lot of flats and people there. The park across the street was an unexpected surprise and we enjoyed walking each night during the midnight sun! "
