Lovely comfy beds and pillows in our triple room. Air con was definitely a plus in the unexpected warm weather. The reception team were so friendly and responsive to any query.

Nous avons passé un séjour globalement agréable, mais quelques points nous ont déçus. La chambre était correcte, mais l’isolation phonique est vraiment à revoir. Les murs étant peu épais, nous entendions très clairement nos voisins parler, ainsi que leurs moments intimes, ce qui a quelque peu perturbé notre tranquillité. Le petit-déjeuner, facturé 16,50 €, nous a également semblé assez cher au regard de ce qui était proposé. Nous l’avons trouvé peu garni et nous nous attendions à davantage de choix pour ce tarif. Enfin, nous avons été un peu déçus par le room service. On nous avait indiqué que nos boissons seraient apportées en chambre, mais au moment venu, on nous a finalement demandé de venir les chercher nous-mêmes car le restaurant était trop chargé. Nous comprenons qu’il puisse y avoir beaucoup de monde, mais dans ce cas, il aurait été préférable de nous prévenir dès le départ. Dans l’ensemble, le séjour reste satisfaisant, mais ces différents points sont à améliorer pour que l’expérience soit réellement à la hauteur des prestations et du prix.

Lovely hotel perfectly located near the river walk. So scenic, yet quiet with many restsurants nearby. We were less than 10 minute walk from the Cathedral and crowded "touristy" places. Hotel de l'Ill had a plentiful breakfast included (eggs, yoghurt and toppings, pastries, meats, cheeses, breads, juices, coffee, teas, etc.). Another amenity we enjoyed was the restaurant/large area with 24-hour coffee/cappacino/tea machine and fruits and pastries for as long as they lasted. It was lovely to come back each evening for a coffee. The staff was excellent and the rooms fresh and clean. Beds were comfortable with blackout shades. Many will appreciate the bath/shower, but we would have prefered a shower. The #10 bus that served our long distance needs was just around the corner. The 72-hour bus pass, which also goes to the train station, paid for itself. We enjoyed the scenic Batorama river cruise that embarks from nearby. Our favorite casual restaurant was Au Brasseur, and we enjoyed a delucious romantic dinner at Rimini. Both were less than 10 minutes away. We would not hesitate to return to this little gem.

Lovely hotel with a room to park bikes and a lovely restaurant for breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed staying here and our dinner outside on a patio and breakfast the next morning.
