This is the place! Our beautiful private home sits on Goose Bay, and has a view of the St. Lawrence river channel and passing ships. It is 1/2 mile from the main road to our home set on a secluded parcel. There are 4 private bedrooms and 2 full baths, all but two rooms have river views. The kitchen features an island and is equipped with updated appliances and includes gadgets for cooking any meal. 80' dock, yard, fire pit and an open floor plan with lots of water views. We are mindful of not using any pesticides or harsh cleaning products in our home same goes for detergent we use to wash duvets, slipcovers, sheets, towels and bath mats. We care about our health and the health of the planet. All platform beds that have been made in the USA from sustainable hardwood in Athens, GA. No stains or varnishes have been applied. We've recently painted our floors with zero VOA paints and we're mindful of everything we purchase to outfit our home. New in 2022: Completely new screened in porch plus dining room and living room painted with zero VOC paint. Our home is lived in and comfortable with our main focus of enjoying the magnificent water views. Listen to the sound of the loons, frogs, gulls and watch the turtles trek onto the land. Jump into your kayak \[ 2 included w/rental \], canoe, or onto your jet ski or boat. There is no additional dock fee and everything is included in your stay. Ceiling fans in every room. Two mornings we saw the tall ships. The rooms were spacious, the beds were comfy, and the water pressure was strong. There are 5 or 6 of us that have been getting together for over 10 years now and this was our first trip to the St. Lawrence River...this turned out to be the perfect place for us. There was plenty of space for all of us and the location in the Bay was amazing. There was easy access to the river when we wanted to target smallmouth and if we felt like changing things up, the Bay was loaded with largemouth. My husband and I rented Michele’s place during the last week of August. We brought our boat up and she was kind enough to let us leave it in the driveway prior to us checking in so we could bop around town while we waited. I will say the road and driveway to get to the cottage was very narrow so, if you’re not super comfortable towing a boat trailer in tight quarters, there is a place right down the road at the boat ramp you could keep your trailer for a few days. The house was beautiful and very clean. The master bed was very comfortable. Plenty of pillows and blankets. She even left us little snacks while we unpacked. We used to go tent camping in the Islands every summer until we moved out of state 9 years ago. Coming back for a family vacation this summer, we couldn't have been more excited to experience the Islands again. We cannot say enough about the house, the location, and host Michelle. The house was perfect for us, very clean and comfortable, in a fantastic location on Goose Bay and the views are amazing. Its secluded enough, but also not too far from conveniences and things to do if you happen to get a couple of rainy days. Alex Bay is about 10 min away, Clayton about 25 min. We rented a pontoon boat from Mac's for a couple of days and it was nice to be able to keep it at the dock. The cottage has virtually everything you could need. Since we flew back to NY, we were limited with what we might pack, but really the house is well equipped. Michelle was very accommodating, available, personable, and communicated from our booking time (way back several months ago) to our end date, any questions that popped up along the way she was available to check in with. High on our list was a beautiful view, an option for a fire pit and access to kayaks. We had all this, plus a responsive hostess! It didn’t take any effort to figure out the heating on our brisk October weekend, and the hot/cold water reversal in one bathroom also posed very little issue. Septic tank, so don’t expect Charmin tp, but it was a small price to pay for the lovely sunset over the water. Just wonderful! ##### Andrea W. We usually stay close to our favorite fishing spots in Chippewa Bay, but were excited to try new waters and a new location. We didn't regret our decision. This home was easy to relax in. The deck was fantastic for evening sunset views. The kitchen and grill made cooking a breeze. The host was extremely helpful and very good with communication. She made sure we had everything we needed. We recommend this home to anyone looking for relaxation, fishing, or a quiet place to end the day after sightseeing in the area. ##### Amanda S. Everything was super clean and completely functional. The host left us lots of goodies that we enjoyed throughout the week. Great fire pit and deck with lots of chairs to enjoy evening sunsets. Nice flat screen with Netflix etc. Screened windows, ceiling fans and window AC (which we did not need). Host provides some basic kitchen supplies, TP, cleaning items, with sufficient cooking utensils to prepare simple meals for a modest sized group. Beds comfortable with closet space. Just 10 min from the Big M grocery store, Alex Bay (bars, restaurants, shopping, boat tours) and the bait shop. Includes use of kayaks. Because water levels were low, the boat launch at Kring Point State park was marginally adequate for our 18 foot fishing boat - try Alex Bay or other launches for larger boats. It was quite nice - quiet, great stars at night - overall very enjoyable. ##### marie r. The cottage was located near Alexandria Bay. Biking and hiking were easily accessible, as were many wineries and distilleries. The cottage itself was a perfect size and very well equipped for all of our needs. It afforded amazing sunset views on the deck as well as views of the St Lawrence Seaway. We were able to see multiple freighters on the Seaway. We had a wonderful week. ##### Joan B.
