We stayed there September 12 to 24. Based on other reviews, I wasn't expecting much, but to my surprise, when I first opened the door, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the room looked and smelled. Yes, it needed some minor repairs, but we could live with that because it was so clean and inviting! And for $80 a night and being so close to the beach, it was a bargin. I would stay there again.

Very dated, it reminds me of the Bates Motel. It’s clean and that’s it for a sleep the wife placed the chair against the door lol

The front desk agent Jennifer was extremely helpful, friendly, and obviously takes pride in her job. We had issues with the first room we were assigned. If it were not for her professionalism and helpfulness, we would have left. The place is very old but clean. The size of the tv in the rooms are a joke. There is no seating in the dpuble room so be forewarned. It requires alot of maintenance but that is solely the owners responsibility and no reflectionon the front desk staff. The on site staff can only do so much with what they have to work with. Overall, you get what you pay for I guess. Honestly feel it should rent out at 85$ max a night. Any higher than that, is overpaying.

This property is in a wonderful location, across Lakeshore Drive from the Marina & Lighthouse. That and the free parking are the only positives. Everything about the property needs repair or maintenance. The upper deck appears to be hazardous. The fact that the property appeared to be fully booked on Sat 15 Aug is a testament to how popular this resort area is. Anywhere else, this motel in its present condition would have gone under years ago. .

Room was very clean. Air conditioner was working and that’s a big one since it was about 29 degrees outside. An older place but well taken care off. We could hear people having shower and walking upstairs but that’s to be expected besides that it was very quiet. Parking was a bit tricky because we were in a truck and came back late to the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. Linens were in very good shape. The room was a bit dated. The location was fantastic. The air conditioner worked very well. The only problem was the upstairs neighbours were a bit loud. This was not the fault of the hotel. It was just the experience. I would stay here again and would recommend this to other others.

The room was fairly clean, the kitchen area could use a good cleaning. The smells coming out of that area were not pleasant. Once I cleaned the AC filter it worked well. The staff are very friendly and the beds were comfortable. A fairly central location to restaurants and the main beach. I didn’t have to use my car at all while I was there which was nice. Worth staying there for a 100 per night.

The bed was comfy. The outside really needs some care and attention. The headboard was awful, shabby, coming apart, drapes have small holes in them. Disposable razor left in a drawer. We would not stay here again.

Do not stay here with your children, this place is completely run down and looks nothing like the photos. Did not feel safe staying here with my daughter as the door lock didn’t even work properly and the entire property smelled like sewage. The room looked dirty and smelled bad aswell the refrigerated in the room was dirty. They do not clean the rooms well. We left as soon as we checked in as the place is not fit to sleep in. Disgusting place, do not try to save money by staying here. Stairs going up to the top level were rotting and wobbly. Paint peeling all over the property, this place should be condemned

The photos on Expedia were not at all accurate. The room we were given was rundown. The only chair in the room was broken. The tub in the bathroom was totally unacceptable because 1/3 of the bottom surface of the tub had been painted with latex paint! We did not use the tub at all, because of this, andit was grungy. The property grounds were unkempt. The room circulation must have been hooked up to the other rooms because although we were not smoking, we received cigarette smoke through our bathroom fan, which we could not turn off without turning off the bathroom light. The fan and light should be on separate switches because the fan was very noisy so if one of us got up to use the bathroom in the night, it woke everyone up! The only saving grace was that the beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. We definitely will never stay at this hotel again, and it was not worth the money charged by Expedia! If you do choose to book this hotel, bring your own key fob because the room key had no fob. finally, the boat lock on the door was not maintained, and it was very difficult to lock the bolt lock! We did not feel safe.
