A short staircase goes to the beach, but a flat grassy area in front of the cottage is perfect for picnics and BBQs Please read through all listing information to ensure that this cottage is a good fit for your needs. Aged pine walls throughout make for a quaint and rustic feel. This cottage received all new mattresses and pillows in 2020 plus a new 55" smart TV Our cottages are accessed off of Meadow Rd / Rt 121\. Off the Meadow Rd, some very lightly trafficked roads (some dirt, some paved) run throughout our cottages which are used mostly for guests to go to and from the cottages. All cottages have at least one dedicated parking space, most have two, and there is extra parking room in our cottage neighborhood for more. The sandy beach and grassy shore area is communal (but private to our cottages) and many guests use the roads around the cottages for walking. There is a communal laundry shed with equipment freely available to do laundry as well as extra household supplies should you need them. Please see the guest manual for more information about the laundry shed. I will be your neighbor if you come in June, or 500m down the road if you come any other time. I swing through most days to check on the common areas like the beach, docks, and laundry room. Our "neighborhood" consists of our nine cottages, our children's summer camp up the shore/peninsula in one direction and adjacent lakehouses up the shore in the other direction. Our cottage neighborhood area includes a communal sandy beach and grassy shore area which is private to the cottages. There is a boat launch point on one end of the beach if you want to launch a motor boat there. The lake has a shallow approach and stays sandy far out. Panther Pond warms up to over 80 degrees F mid summer. It is wonderful for swimming, boating, and water sports of all kinds. We have a fleet of six kayaks available for rent (NOTE: this is an update from the 2020 season during which kayaks were freely available first-come first-serve - this is no longer the case), and several docks around the cove. Walmart, Hannaford supermarket, Burger King, McDonald's, Taco Bell/KFC, Wendy's, and various box stores are approximately 15 minutes away. A few smaller, local restaurants are as little as 10 minutes away. Some very lightly trafficked roads (some dirt, some paved) run throughout our cottages which are used mostly for guests to go to and from the cottages. All cottages have at least one dedicated parking space, most have two, and there is extra parking room in our cottage neighborhood for more. Around town, there are many cute restaurants in Raymond (going left on Meadow Rd / Rt 121), and Naples is less than 20 minutes away (going right on Meadow Rd / Rt 121). This cottage is in a quiet neighborhood of cottages. Our guests need to be interested in a quiet stay without loud music, parties, or late night revelry. Please note that this cottage does not have any air conditioning or heating. FALL UPDATE: the cottage docks are now taken up onto the beach and so there are no docks in the water for guest use. This also lessens the open area of the waterfront available for lounging etc. The cottages themselves are unchanged and there is still open waterfront lawn. No pets allowed Quiet hours are between 8pm and 8am No loud music (anytime) No fireworks No smoking of marijuana It is okay to have a day-guest or two who is not staying with you but more than one or two is not permitted ## Property amenities ### Beach - Property was very clean, had extras that renters usually have to buy such as coffee, TP, paper towels, laundry soap, dish soap and personal towel were new in every room. Furniture and beds were retro but very clean and comfortable. We're in our 80's so getting to the beach by way of stairs was a little difficult. Wasn't a problem for the younger folks who visited for the day. We will rent from these folks again and would recommend property to others. Very enjoyable stay. ##### Louise S.
