"We were pleasantly surprised with our stay. Our meal of ribs and my wife's wrap were very good. They had live music and the singer was very good and fun. Our room had a smell when you first walked in. Hard to describe? Musty? It seemed to pass after about 10 minutes. I would recommend this hotel and restaurant. We will definitely return. "

"The property is located right along Lake Superior and each room has a balcony that overlooks the lake. The property is somewhat older, but the owners are doing a lot of repairs. Our check-in was smooth and quick, the staff was very friendly, and coffee/hot chocolate/hot cider were available all day in a very nice sitting area. Although you have to drive to anyplace to eat, the location was close enough to towns that it wasn't a big issue. We also love Tofte and Grand Marais, so both were easy...
