I would not recommend booking this hotel. In addition to the unexpected fees, the customer service at the front desk was very disappointing. When we made the reservation, the additional charges were not clearly presented. The information appeared only at the bottom of the reservation details and was very easy to miss. We were later informed that the hotel charges a **$150 deposit per day** and a **$31.31 resort fee per room, per night**, plus applicable taxes. Had these charges been clearly disclosed upfront, we likely would not have booked the hotel. Unfortunately, the experience at the front desk made the situation even worse. The staff was not very friendly and did not seem willing to make much effort to accommodate our request or help find a reasonable solution. We expected a more welcoming and professional level of service, especially when raising a legitimate concern. Between the poorly disclosed fees and the unfriendly, unhelpful front desk experience, I cannot recommend this hotel. I strongly suggest that anyone considering booking here carefully review all fees and policies before making a reservation.

Wonderful Anniversary Stay My wife and I stayed at the Fairmont in Georgetown for our anniversary, and we had a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and in a great location. Our room was quiet, comfortable, and exactly what we wanted. Everyone on the staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. They made us feel welcome throughout our stay. We also loved being close enough to walk to Georgetown, the waterfront, and several great restaurants. After spending the day exploring the city, the Fairmont was a relaxing place to come back to. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely return. I highly recommend this hotel.
