  • Welcome to Hideaway on the Bay

    We are a very private cottage on Little Bay De Noc in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan! Tucked away at the end of a point, this fisherman's dream and family friendly home is close to many local shops and amazing outdoor activities. Enjoy your coffee with the sunrise and views. Kayak, fish, goose/duck hunt right out your back door. Plenty of space to play yard games and sit around the fire, or just enjoy the wildlife. There is something for everyone! So come, relax, and explore all the U.P. has to offer.

    Our cottage is centrally located with easy access to many U.P. destinations. Nearby you will find beaches, Fayette State Park, boat launches, trails, local restaurants, wineries and breweries. You can also set off on day adventures to Kitch-itikipi (Big Springs), Pictured Rocks (Munising), Eben Ice Caves, Marquette, Grand Marais and more! There is no shortage of things to do and see in the area. Also, the Kipling and Rapid River boat launches, bait shops, and ice fishing rentals are located just a few miles away for easy access and gear.

    Coming to fish? We are located at the head of the bay where 4 rivers meet (Whitefish River, Rapid River, Days River, Tacoosh River). You can fish for Walleye, Perch, Pike, Blue Gill, Bass and more. Direct access on site ice fishing, and dock access in summer months. We have a heated fish house for you to be able to clean your fish with plenty of room for everyone.

Great Stay

We enjoyed our 2nd stay on this property very much. So peaceful and quiet with amazing views where are kids could fish right off the dock. Great location with easy commute to waterfalls, mines, pictured rocks, and Marquette. House has everything you would need to cook meals and just kick back and relax. Looking forward to returning again next summer for a family get away.

Spacious Hideaway

Great little hideaway on the lake. Went for a fishing trip with some family and I was in charge of finding a place to stay. Everyone complimented me on the find. Plenty of space for the group in terms of sleeping arrangements and common space for hanging out. Can't wait to book again next year!

Perfect Getaway!!

The location was beautiful. Right on the water where everyone could fish every day off the dock. Gorgeous sunsets. So quiet and peaceful. The house was just what we needed for a family of five and was fully stocked with all kitchen and bath needs. We will definitely stay here in the future.

So peaceful!

This property was perfect for our family of six. The cabin is right on the lake with amazing sunrises! There were not a lot of neighbors so it gave us the feeling of being there alone. The cabin had everything you could ever need, things we hadn’t even thought to bring. The beds were so comfortable!! I would recommend this property to anyone that would like some time away to unplug and relax.

Top notch privacy

This home is simply wonderful. Better than average stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, nice layout of house with an open air feel and cathedral ceiling, plenty of yard space, fire pit... I could keep going! This home is the last house on a dead end. If privacy and peace is what you crave, you've found it right here!

Fishing and family

Our vacation goal was to spend time with our grown children and their spouses. Mission accomplished1 The house was immaculate, all the little touches were there. Owner even had scotch tape. It felt homey and as if it was planned just for us. We did get to fish and spend time on the beautiful Little Bay. The new pier is great! Bird watching and wildlife were amazing. The owner was super easy to talk with, answered text messages immediately and was so helpful. I really can't say enough nice things. We will be back next year!

Just What I Needed

I'm a writer and needed a quiet getaway so I could finish my current project. I cannot put into words how perfect this rental was. It's at the end of a dead end road (a road that dead ends into Lake Michigan, to be exact) and it was peaceful, quiet, clean, and the wireless internet worked wonderfully. My only complaint is that I didn't get enough work done because I couldn't stop looking at the view! Ducks, swans, eagles, deer - wildlife everywhere! I drove 5 minutes to get subs at D&M for lunch in Gladstone and it was the most beautiful drive. I've already contacted the host to let her know that I'll be booking again in the spring. I don't fish, but I could understand how this place would be a fisherman's dream. There's even an attached room to clean your fish! This place is a hidden gem.

Softball Tournament Perfection

We had a very wet weekend. But the hosts were fabulous to work with and were flexible with us when we thought we had to stay longer due to the games being pushed out from the rain. Would TOTALLY stay again if we were coming to the area. Very clean and welcoming. 10/10 stars for a family/chill weekend get away.
