The lodge and where we were staying was across the street and there is nobody in the house were we were told we were staying. It was a bit odd. The room itself was fine and there is no complaints. We also had access to the water front across the street, but we didn’t stay at the waterfront house as I thought we booked." Only thing to remember is your mosquito repellent and bite cream, they are everywhere. GILLIGANS ISLAND without the Skipper and Mary Ann! Nothing but untouched coast line and Palm trees. With that being Aotera Guest House offers very basic bungalows right on the stand steps away from the aqua blue sea. It is however no frills and very basic . No hot water or AC. But sometimes you have to give up the small luxuries in life if you cant afford the Conrad or Sofital and still seek absolute paradise! Far from it all the Captain will pick you up at the Marina and it is a 20 min boat ride to the Guest house. The food is ok to decent- Beer is available Beware if you walk down the beach. Along the way the only other property has doberman pincher dogs that have attacked toursists so be aware."
