We have rented homes from North Carolina to Maine and used them for 1 to 3 weeks as our hiking base. The home in Rangeley was ideal in terms of location and in general as a temporary vacation home. The house was clean, spacious, and well maintained. The owners provided useful information on the area and we are only sorry that we did not have more time to spend in Rangeley. The first impression when you park in front of the cabin is the stunning uninterrupted views from the deck. Imaging waking up to the serenity of Rangeley lake and ending your day with a lovely view of the sunset! The house is so well equipped and clean, it was an absolute to walk in and live there. All the furnishings have been thoughtfully picked and decorated keeping with the theme. Even though there was no mobile reception in the area which disappointed us, but it proved to be a blessing in disguise because we could appreciate and enjoy whatever the house and nature had to offer. It was absolutely beautiful! Tim makes sure you have everything you need to be comfortable. There is a large supermarket about two miles up the road stocked with everything. The view is breathtaking. We rented Timā€™s place for a family snowmobiling weekend. The place was perfect. Spacious, clean, and all the amenities you would need to be comfortable away from home. It sits on a hill with a georgeous view of Rangeley Lake. You can access the snowmobiling trails right from the driveway. And the owner Tim was incredibly nice. Called ahead to make sure we were all set to get in the house and again after to thank us for staying when we left.
