The cleanliness was not great. There were dust spiders on cobwebs in the corners. Behind the beds hasnt been cleaned in a minute. Theres a good water stain in the master bedroom, hope its not new.The bathroom needs a tune up and the caulking is coming loose in the shower and the cabinet is pretty rundown. A lot of little things in the walls and stuff that could be better and you could see the cleaning on the walls stops about 2 feet short from ceiling. The chairs on the balcony are rough. Just needs a good bit of TLC and some more attention when cleaning. We've stayed in a lot of places and these are easily fixed. The owner is really good guy who is great at communication. I wouldn't not stay here, i just think it could be 5 star across the board pretty easily. Also think there may be a critter living in the attic of the building you can hear at night. ##### Aindrea A. I am a frequent traveler. I booked this place to stay after traveling 10 hours for my sisters graduation. It was not in the best neighborhood and it was very run down. Mold in the bathroom, especially around the bath tub and there were roaches crawling on the cabinets and walls. I left after the first night. I have food and a 5 month baby and was not about to stay in a place like that that had bugs! The owner messaged me to check and see how things were and I told him I left after the first day and why. He even checked in after our first night to make sure everything was ok, and we alerted him to some of the issues we were experiencing but told him there was no need to come to the property. - The location was super convenient. - The space was very nicely laid out for a weekend trip with friends. Cons: - The smell of old cigarette smoke was unmistakable. - A deep clean of the whole place, including the furniture, would go a long way to spruce up the place, as well as some maintenance on the bathroom fixtures. - There was a lot of cockroaches throughout the entire place. We alerted the host of the bugs and he offered to come check on the property but we declined. The downstairs neighbors were moving out, likely increasing the activity of the bugs but there were more than we felt comfortable with.
