The house had an overwhelming, foul odor unlike anything I’ve experienced in a rental before. I couldn’t identify the source, but it was unbearable, especially in one bedroom with visible stains on the carpet. We closed that room off because we couldn’t use it. Opening the windows barely helped.The beds were extremely old and uncomfortable, with worn-out mattresses. We could feel the metal springs, and one bed sagged badly in the middle. We tried to stay, but couldn’t sleep at all. We finally gave up and left at 4 a.m. to drive back to Charlotte, exhausted.Communication was disappointing. I reported the problems and sent the photos the host requested. A 20% refund was offered, which I accepted, but as of this review, I have not received it, and the host has stopped responding.An unacceptable stay and a frustrating experience afterward. I would not recommend this property.
