Our unique location on the island you can see the Sunrise and Sunset from the house (See photos). Water access with just a few steps going into the Sea due to our low elevation above the ocean. Comfortable concrete steps - No flimsy stairs or ladders here or large cliffs to climb down like others. Sidewalks go from the lower deck to the water access. We provide many features you do not normally find in island house rentals in Eleuthera. High end comfortable furniture is provided including cushioned chaise lounges, comfy-cushioned gliders for cocktails, and a large round bistro table for grilling and dining. Our favorite feature of the home is the large shaded deck. Throughout the day, there is always an area on the deck that keeps you shaded when you need a little break from the sunshine. For guests who love sunbathing, a lower sun deck with loungers is available at the bottom of the main deck stairs. To refresh, an outdoor hot and cold water shower exists right next to this deck. The sundeck transforms at night to become the perfect area for stargazing. As an out island, Eleuthera has a dark background sky perfect for romantic stargazing by a balmy Bahama breeze. Walk across the natural bridge to the point that jetties out into the sea. An arched bench gives you the best spot to watch sunsets and spot sea turtles. The interior of the home has wood-look tile flooring, neutral beach colors, two leather recliners, a media table and chairs, a large kitchen with an island perfect for cooking, making cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, or just lounging. Stainless steel appliances including a propane range, full sized double door refrigerator, microwave, blender, coffee pot, and toaster stock the kitchen. The home has an air conditioner in both the bedroom, as well as the main common area. A large wall mounted Smart TV with an Amazon Firestick give the ability to TV watch while enjoying the Caribbean views. Wireless internet is also included. Caribbean views can be seen from the 2 large bedroom windows with sunset colors, moonlight and stars, as well as a beautiful morning sunrise while still resting your head on the pillows. The bed is queen size with an extra thick hybrid foam mattress. The clothes closet is next to the bathroom, as we find on island we are often changing and showering from beach to restaurants. The full size washer and dryer is right next to the closet, as is the towel closet. A white subway tiled mosaic beach glass shower with glass wall doors allow you to shower with a window view of the Caribbean Sea and a large sink provides plenty of counter space. Outside the entrance deck is a beach storage box for a cooler, Tommy Bahama beach chairs and beach umbrella or anything you want to remove from the car to make beach going easier. A sand rinse is located right by the door to keep your toes comfy. There are many stores containing the supplies you need to make yourself comfortable on island. Not the greatest weather upon arrival but as soon as the sea calmed, this place was everything and more of what the pictures depicted. Centrally located on the island allowing you to travel easily to the north and south and not spending an entire day in the car. The house was full of useful accessories (snorkel gear, floats, coolers) to go enjoy the island and all of the beaches nearby. The house was also extremely clean and was a wonderful retreat from some of the warmer days with its available ac. Be sure to keep your eye on the water for “Herman” the sea turtle as he regularly visited the cove in calm water. We pretty much stayed at the house as we could do most of what we wanted during our stay, snorkeling and fishing right out the front of the house. We did wander down to Rainbow Bay beach a few times, and this was wonderful. Very calm waters, clean beach and few people. Grocery and liquor stores were nearby, as well as a few places to eat on the occasion we didn't feel like cooking. The house was unbelievably well stocked and very clean. The owners thought of everything that a visitor may need. We rented a car from the home's local caretaker Laura, and this was great. It is a very comfortable and cute little cottage with everything we needed to make our week-long stay on Eleuthera one of the best vacations we have ever had. I cannot say enough about the location; every day we were greeted by sea turtles that we would just watch from the comfort of the deck lounge chairs, and we spent quite some time snorkeling of in front of the property where we saw multiple rays, turtles, crabs, a lobster, and many beautiful fish. The best night was when we were sitting on the deck after dark, just watching all the stars in the sky, when suddenly the sea started flashing with blue lights. We quickly went down to the rock point and saw little jelly fish bobbing and lighting up the sea. That only happened one night, so we felt so fortunate to have seen them. It's really hard to encapsulate just how fantastic this rental is. They truly have thought of everything. From the kitchen appliances, spices on hand, great AC, internet w/ Starlink, TV, very comfortable bed, gas stove and propane grill, it's all here. They even have a copy of "The Beach Book' on hand which maps out all the must see beaches. When you unlock the door and step inside it's going to take your breath away because the pictures online don't begin to do it justice. It's so much bigger than it looks in the pictures. The panoramic view of the ocean is awe inspiring. The deck outside is so nice with so many different types of seating as you work your way down to the water. So much to see and do on the island, but if you wanted to stay at the Salty Coconut you would never really have to leave. We loved having the snorkeling equipment there. We would snorkel right out back and saw many beautiful tropical fish and even a sea turtle who would appear every morning. It's so close to Rainbow Bay Beach which is just wonderful. You can wade out into the crystal clear water for what seems like forever. This island is incredible. We were awestruck by the beauty and total solitude of the beaches we explored. We want to come back and when we do we will be staying here again, no question. Don't hesitate, don't look elsewhere. Book this property for the vacation of a lifetime!! ##### Scott B. Extremely clean home with everything you need whether staying in or enjoying the nearby beaches- rainbow bay beach is around corner and stunning. The views from the deck and the comfortable recliners and chairs were a welcome place to relax at the end of the day to watch the sunset. The AC, ceiling fans and comfortable bed were ideal for a good nights' sleep. We were hard pressed to find anything that was unsatisfactory. Would definitely stay here again. Don G. ##### Donnie G. Their attention to every detail was beyond any we have experienced before or expected. The home was very thoughtfully and perfectly laid out, every amenity you could possibly think of and the photos are exactly what you can expect. Waking up to the sound of waves and brilliant blue sea was amazing, the star gazing deck, swimming out in front and comfortable furniture, are just a few of our favorite things.
