The views across the valley from the front of The Pods are stunning - guests will love a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine sat out on the patio taking in the country air and far-reaching views. Sleeping four people in two bedrooms, The Pods are also the ideal location for families and couples to explore the Fosse Way and the Somerset countryside from. The Roman city of Bath and the seaside towns of Western Super Mare and Burnham on Sea are also only a short drive away. The main pod consists of a double bedroom, small lounge, kitchenette and shower room. The kitchenette has a microwave, portable stove top, toaster, kettle and fridge so guests can still cook up a meal if staying in. Wi-Fi is available in the main pod and included during your stay, plus access to a washing machine, ironing board and iron through a private entrance into the downstairs cloakroom of the farmhouse. The second bedroom - the twin - is located in a separate pod, located approx 15 meters away and separated by a path through the trees. It's the perfect solution for children wanting to escape the parents and feel like they're having their own adventure (or is that parents wanting to escape from the kids!) Please note, as the second bedroom pod is a short walk from the main pod, parents should be confident that their children (and they!) will be happy to sleep separately and will enjoy the seclusion of an independent sleeping area. During the winter months, we have converted the outdoor porch of the main pod into an upgraded, insulated dining area equipped with a table and chairs, comfortably accommodating four guests. This addition provides a weatherproof social space, complete with a fully glazed external door to allow you to fully enjoy the surrounding views. Updated photos arriving in Spring 2024. Off-street parking is provided a few meters away from the pods. Please note that the pods are in the curtilage of the owner's country farmhouse. There are a few pubs within 2 miles of The Pods and the nearest supermarket is only a 3 mile drive. The Pods are equidistant between the historic city of Wells and Bath. Both provide a great day out with plenty of attractions, cafes and restaurants - and lots of things to do even on rainy days! Wookey Hole Caves and Adventure Centre is only a short drive away and the perfect day out for families; while if guests prefer peaceful countryside walks then the endless trails right from the front door leaves you spoiled for choice. ## Property amenities ### Internet - Ideally located we were able to do many visits nearby and what a corner of paradise! We saw deer and hares every evening and had a visit from a pheasant and a squirrel. Sophia was very welcoming. Sophia and Richard are fantastic hosts. The pods are in a beautiful setting overlooking the Somerset countryside with great access to Bath, Wells and Glastonbury. Sophia arragend a warm welcome - there even was cake! The location and view outside the pods was absolutely stunning - England scenery at its best! The pods itself was not only super clean from top to bottom but also the coziest place. The kitchen was very well equipped! On top of all that, there were barbecue facilities outdoor which made our stay perfect. There is also a well equipped laundry room with an ironing board, which we were allowed to use. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the pods. Well-appointed kitchen, spacious bathroom, comfortable bed and lovely views over local farmland: it is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle. They are really well located, close to some great walks and fabulous pubs and only about 20 mins from Bath. There was real attention to detail from table cloths with clips to stop them flapping in the breeze, seat cushions for the outside table, a portable clothes line for those emergency washing moments, BBQ coals to get us going, to a welcome pack of quality tea, coffee, milk, bread and homemade jam. Chosen mainly for being a convenient location for our stay, and because something different appealed, the pods turned out to be an excellent choice. Quite small but not too small, and very cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed. Everything was very clean, with lovely decor, nicely equipped kitchenette, and a good sized modern bathroom. Very friendly owner who made a point of being there to welcome us and show us around. Nice outside area with seating, a nice view over the fields, and BBQ facilities, although the weather - autumn gales and rain for much of out time - wasn't conducive to taking full advantage! Offered their telephone numbers for any issues It is in the grounds of a house, overlooking the village. It had enough room for four adults. We used the hot water, kettle and fridge. We didn’t cook but we were only there two nights and one was at a wedding. It was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was roomy given the fact it is a pod. I would suggest that people pull the blind down on the front door at night as the outside light shines through if not. I didn’t take any pictures but it looks as described on the photos shown on this website. I would have liked a door to the bedroom but that is being extremely picky. It would have to be a sliding door for size purposes so I see why there isn’t one. See point above about the blind on the front door. The light outside comes on with a sensor and outside elements kept setting it off. The blind down was a solution to this.
