"This is a really beautiful little hotel in a historical building. Our room (Junior suite) was just gorgeous and very much in keeping with the historical ambiance while the bathroom was highly modern with a great shower. A beautiful inner courtyard invites for reading a book or having a glass of wine while the terrace outside comes to life with locals in the evening. An ideal place to stay as a convenient halfway point between the Basque mountains and Bilbao (bus leaves half-hourly right outside the hotel, and there's trains too)."

"The lady on reception was a great help we had a problem with the car and she helped find a garage. And she was on when we left and ask if we had got it sorted very sweet of her. Nice hotel for a over night stay before sailing to the uk about 18 minutes to the ferry port. Would recommend it"

"Nice gardens surrounding the house/palace in an isolated natural place inviting to relaxing and enjoy nature. Only 30 minutes to Santoña and other attractions. Restaurant team very friendly but people at reception were not friendly not knowledgeable, so making some situations uneasy. Only breakfast and dinner offered at the hotel restaurants. Food was quite good. A couple of local small restaurants in the town. We likes Casa de Montaña."

"We loved staying at this nautical themed hotel. It's perfect for pilgrims. The staff is really kind and the room was really nice. The breakfast in the morning isn't really worth it, it's just a croissant and crackers."
