Quinsigamond State Park

The room smelled like cigarettes. There was hair in the bathtub. No ice in the ice machine. Impossible to get them to pick up the phone to get the shuttle to come or to get extra sheets. Completely overpriced for what it is.

This was maybe my fifth or sixth stay at the Royal Sonesta Boston over the past ten years. I always find it clean and comfortable and will probably pick it again the next time I travel with my family to Boston. My kids always enjoy the pool. Location is pretty good depending on where you want to go. The science museum is right around the corner, but everywhere else needs a taxi or a long walk. About the only negative, and it's not much of one, is that the front desk is always busy, with the one or two people standing there usually on the phone when I walk up. They need a concierge or someone just to handle the phones. I don't think I've ever been able to just walk up and ask a question or request something without waiting a few minutes for someone to get off the phone.
