"Lovely garden area where children can play. So much to see in Quito though, that I wasn't in the hotel much - just enough to shower and sleep. Expedia listing needs to amend information regarding breakfast - it was available, but not included in the booking. Location couldn't have been better for exploring historic town and a 5 min walk to the metro station for those wishing to explore other areas of the city. The staff waited with me to ensure I got picked up safely by the Uber to head to the airport. "

"A must stay if visiting Quito. Old world, charm, exceptional accommodations, and amazing customer service. What amazing place to stay in Quito in the heart of the historic district. The hotel is so charming and welcoming. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, spoke fluent English and provided exceptional service. Our room had a great view of the Virgin Mary and the beautiful mountain surrounding Quito. Breakfast was wonderful, cooked to order and they even personalize our plates. Check in and out was a breeze. They have a rooftop bar with awesome views and it is also where breakfast is served. We would highly recommend staying here. A big shout out to Yale and the rest of the front desk staff as well as the chefs for making this a memorable stay."

"The hotel is a “one of a kind”. Located in the historic part of Quito in a former large colonial home. The ornamental paintings on all the walls create an indoor garden atmosphere. Our room was quite large with a comfortable king size bed. The washroom is well appointed. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Eggs are made to order. The artisanal bread was a nice touch. There is no elevator, so ask for a room on a lower floor if you have mobility challenges or think the high altitude might make a little tricky to climb too many stairs. The location is close enough to walk to many of the main attractions in the old town. We only had breakfast at the hotel so we can’t comment on their dinner. There’s an excellent restaurant just next door and in the other direction, about a minute away are several family run restaurants that are worth trying We can’t emphasize enough how attentive, kind and helpful the staff are at this hotel. Staying at La Casona was a terrific part of our Quito experience. "
