Le Rivat is spacious and welcoming. You will find all the amenities for cooking, as well as bedding and bath towels. This country-style house can comfortably accommodate 12 adults and 2 children (futons upstairs) in shared rooms. Surrounded by towering trees and near a river, your stay will be the perfect balance between outdoor adventures and urban life. Just 30 minutes from Old Quebec, you can easily drive to the must-see heritage sites while enjoying the natural setting of your vacation home. Ideal for groups of friends, families, or even business retreats, the house is spacious and allows everyone to either enjoy solitude or have unforgettable group vacations. Le Rivat is an idyllic place, located on the Vallée Jeunesse site, a non-profit organization that helps young people facing academic or social adaptation challenges. When you rent a chalet or house, you help finance this organization’s mission: to restore hope to struggling youth, giving them confidence in their abilities and their future! Like a resort, the Vallée site features several other houses and chalets, gathering spaces, access to the Jacques-Cartier River, and canoe rentals for your enjoyment. Additionally, there is an adjacent wilderness-style campground. The site is peaceful, ideal for gatherings, exchanges, and unforgettable moments. Every visitor will feel as though they are living outside of time, even if just for a short stay. Access is easy by car, and you can quickly drive to Old Quebec in 30 minutes. Moreover, you’ll be just a few minutes away from the famous Village Vacances Valcartier, a tourist attraction with an indoor (Bora Parc) and outdoor waterpark in the summer, and tubing in the winter. A few minutes by car will also take you to many resort experiences, such as a day at Le Castor golf course, a visit to the Hôtel de Glace, a rafting adventure, or a day at the magnificent Aroma Spa. The Valcartier military base is also accessible to visitors via Le Castor center. Le Rivat is located on the Vallée Jeunesse site, a non-profit organization that helps young people facing academic or social adaptation challenges. We really enjoyed the location and the common areas. Some complaints are that the pillows were awful - lumpy and uncomfortable.This house does NOT sleep 14 people. Our smallest person, a12 year old child, could not fit on the futon beds. And there was no extra bedding even if that had been possible. Other then that, it was well appointed, the bathrooms were great and the laundry area was good. We especially loved that the house had been decorated for Christmas. ##### Tanya B. La propreté des lieux laisse à désirer : balayeuse non passée, des mousses se promènent au sous-sol et à l'étage. Les planchers ne sont pas très propres. Les appareils électroménagers et hotte de poêle sont mal entretenus et graisseux, grille-pain non lavé et grains de rôties sur le dessus. C'est dommage. A few small things such a broken chair and air hockey pusher, but minor and lots of chairs and other things to do . Owner was very helpful if needed as well . ##### Greg M. Il y avait une trentaine de mouches noires, voir plus, à notre arrivée et le nombre n'a pas beaucoup diminué durant le séjour. Le chalet est endommagé à plusieurs endroits. Je me serait attendue à un peu plus de «luxe» au prix que le chalet est loué. Séjour malgré tout agréable, mais la qualité était un peu décevante. ##### Marie Claude F.
