Hotel is in very convenient location if you are planning to spend most of your time in the old quarter area. We had a great view from our room. Just keep in mind there is no parking close by if you driving there.

Beautiful hotel and our room was lovely. The character and charm really had us feeling like we were in Europe. The location was perfect and walking distance to everything you need to enjoy a wonderful visit. The roof top patio was fantastic for enjoying our morning coffee. We will be back!

Location is good, room was small couldn’t open the door fully as it hit the bed, temp in shower scalding hot to cold, curtains should be black out, bed was squeaky, very loud in the mornings if your on a relaxing vacation you won’t be sleeping in past 7am, lots of stairs if you have mobility issues it’s not good.

Very close to all the shops, restaurants and funicular. We thought the hotel was a little dated but for the price we paid, it was a screaming good deal. Clean, comfortable bed. We never saw a staff member as this place is all automated.

⭐️ 1 Star — Very Disappointing Stay The only good thing about this hotel is the beautiful location. Unfortunately, everything else was extremely disappointing. The entire hotel feels very old and badly outdated. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds we’ve ever slept on. The mattress felt like it was made for a child, and we woke up with terrible back pain the next morning. The toilet was also a major problem. It wouldn’t flush properly, and every time we needed to flush, we had to open the tank and manually pull the mechanism. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel. There is also NO elevator. Our room was on the 3rd floor, and having to carry several heavy suitcases up three floors was exhausting, especially after a long day of traveling. The beautiful location is the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. The rooms, bed, bathroom, and overall facilities desperately need updating and better maintenance. Unfortunately, we would not stay here again.

I have never stayed at a staff-less "automated" hotel before, so I was honestly kind of nervous about it. However, the experience was definitely a positive one. Staying here is in-between an Airbnb and a traditional hotel. You won't get all of the amenities of a traditional hotel, but you also avoid the variability you can get with random Airbnbs. Location-wise, this hotel is so close to the old city of Quebec. It was easy to access tourist sites and restaurants on foot. Conversely, though, you're on a narrow street, making car access a challenge. Plus, we stayed in the summer, but I can foresee these being major inconveniences in the winter. The rooms themselves are comfortable, but tiny. It's an older building, and walls/doors felt a little thin. The bathroom is quite functional. In-room storage is limited. I occasionally had questions for staff and was able to get quick responses messaging through the Expedia website. Overall this hotel won't be for every traveller, but if you calibrate your expectations accordingly, you'll have a satisfying stay. For a longer, more relaxing stay, I feel most - including myself - would want a more fully-featured traditional hotel. If you're looking to be in the heart of Quebec and be a few steps from history every day, this hotel is a good choice.

I stayed in the queen room for a few nights. First the good--the bed was comfy and sheets, blankets and towels were clean. Also the roof patio was great! The pictures on the website were probably taken during the last reno 20 yrs ago. It's in need of updates, especially the bathroom. The toilet barely flushes, the shower is either freezing cold or scolding hot.... the AC just stopped working for some unknown reason (but came back on a few hours later). The mini fridge keeps things cold, but is loud. It would be nice to add guest laundry downstairs. Seems to have space for it. Overall, it's in a great location and walking distance to everything to see in Old Quebec!
