We loved our stay with Victoria at b&b de la Fontaine! It’s the cutest place in a great location. Everything is very walkable and central ! It has a lot of charm and character because it’s an old family run business. Breakfast is served promptly at 830 AM with a variety of breads, fruits, cheese and jam, Nutella !, yoghurt and hard boiled eggs, with coffee and tea choices. Victoria is very helpful and accommodating. Some other reviews mentioned toilet problems but this was absolutely not an issue for us. I’ve been known to clog a toilet or two, especially when out of the country, and there were no issues for us. Sounds like a personal problem and definitely not a Fontaine issue ! Thank you Victoria and Fontaine for making our trip to Quebec City very wonderful.

Our room was on the second floor. The room was tiny, no closet, cramped bathroom. Access from ground level was a steep and narrow stairway. Access for breakfast was in the basement via another steep narrow stairs. The front door of the building was held open with a chain, so that access was freely available for non guests.

Cosiest weekend ever!
We had such a lovely time at B&B de la Fontaine. I’ve stayed in Quebec City overnight a couple times before, but never did I have such a good experience as I did here. Our on-site concierge Jeremy was so kind and helpful! My husband and I came to celebrate the first two nights of our honeymoon and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. With its central location in Old Quebec, we were always just steps from restaurants and activities. We were so impressed that breakfast was included, too! Which was perfect for a young couple like us, who don’t have a ton of cash to spend on a fancy Quebec City brunch. Our room was clean, cosy, and had everything we needed. We’ll 100% be staying here again!
