It's an old French colonial building. The furnishings are also old and have that colonial charm. Definitely not for anyone looking for new/modern accommodations. The lobby included a huge golden Buddha statue, a decorated Christmas tree (in the middle of March), a karate dojo in one corner, and an adjacent indoor pool which didn't look clean to us.
The refrigerator in our room leaked, and lots of areas seemed dirty and/or in need of maintenance.
We only stayed there a short time as we only needed a place to rest between an overnight train and an evening flight.
The host and staff were very friendly and helpful, and the cost was low. Overall I am happy with the choice and enjoyed the experience.

I stayed here recently. The hotel is a bit run down in a rundown area. A distance from old quarter and town and hard to find even for taxi men . There's not much English spoken in this area . The one thing that was excellent was the staff. They went out of their way to assist in every way and are a credit to the hotel. Probably wouldn't stay there again but it was ok , sort of.
