Sazan (definite Albanian form: Sazani; Italian: Saseno; Latin: Saso; Ancient Greek: Σάσων) is an island inside the Mediterranean Sea in southern Albania. It is the largest island in Albania and strategically located between the Strait of Otranto and the entrance to the Bay of Vlorë, forming the border between the Adriatic and Ionian Sea. The island has a surface area of 5.7 km2 (2.2 sq mi) with a length of 4.8 km (3.0 mi), width of 2 km (1.2 mi) and a coastline of about 15 km (9.3 mi).
In addition to being the largest island in Albania, it is a military zone and sometimes in clear weather it may be seen by eye from the coast of Salento, Italy in the west. The island was open to the public in July 2015. 2,721.87 hectares (6,725.9 acres) of the territory of the island's surrounding marine area became part of the Karaburun-Sazan Marine Park in 2010. What’s making this vacation even more special are our dinners and the relaxing time at the beach during the day, where we were served by the amazing waiters: Jeta at the Mandarin Restaurant and Denis at Batos! Jeta was very warm, polite, and professional. She welcomed us with a smile and helped us with excellent menu recommendations. Denis was also very attentive, quick, and always ready to help without even needing to be asked. Both of them worked with dedication and professionalism, making the service perfect. The front desk staff has also been super helpful, informative, and very professional from the moment we arrived. Their assistance made our stay even more comfortable and stress-free. The view is breathtaking, the food is prepared with great care, but the service from Jeta, Denis, and the entire staff truly elevated the entire experience to another level."

"We had an excellent 8-9 days stay at the Seaside Hotel. Our room had a beautiful sea view and it was elegant and extremely clean, The breakfast was excellent with fresh fruit, homemade cakes, local ingredients/recipes and also continental staples, coffee was great and the breakfast area very relaxing, The staff is very friendly, hospitable, kind and helpful ❤️ The location is very convenient to the beach and restaurants, but quiet at night. We would definitely recommend this hotel and hopefully we will come back! 🙂"
