Several routes traverse the park, varying from short paths suitable for the whole family to demanding routes up fells and down into deep gorges. If you are hiking in the autumn, you may be able to pick juicy cranberries growing in the national park’s marshlands. Europe's only operating amethyst mine is in the national park, and guests are welcome.
