Lovely place to stay. Good sized rooms. Nice location. Main disappointment was being ignored by the manager after I missed a night’s stay because of a last minute cancelled flight. This was very upsetting for me to miss my time in Quito when it wasn’t my fault. I let the hotel know as soon as I knew, they still charged me for the night without even considering the exceptional circumstances. It feels like once they’ve got your money, they don’t care. Expedia tried to liaise with them too, but they refused. Overall very disappointed by this and left me upset.

Hotel Mama Cuchara is a lovely boutique hotel with a great location. The breakfast is delicious and the team took great care of us. We loved our stay there and would absolutely come back and stay again next time we are in Quito.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. The reception staff is also wonderful. They provide breakfast delivered to the rooms in the mornings as well as fruit, yogurt, coffee and juice. The location is also excellent as the street the hotel is on is filled with great restaurants. It’s also in close proximity to the historic center. I would highly recommend staying here.
