The old location leads to the maintenance area and no way to enter the lobby. A beautiful location with the best view of the sunset but the hotel needs some TLC. The rooms themselves are clean and pleasant, but the elevators and stairwells are very dirty. The entrance is beautiful but lacking ambiance (furniture, decor, music, employees). The lagoon area is nice but needs some landscaping. Beach access is nice. Restaurant on the beach is nice. Signage also needs updating. Staff were friendly but still in training. I think the hotel should have delayed it's reopening for another month or two, really cleaned up the place and had a soft opening for family and friends at discounted rates so the hotel could figure things out. We basically stayed put and enjoyed the calm and incredible sunsets from the terrace. It's a steep bumpy drive down to the coast, but there's (food) shopping right there, and an excellent bakery. The beach at PK18 is around the corner, and it's not far into Papeete, either if needed. We had a wonderful time, even if there was the occasional thunderstorm." Things were a little dated but everything was clean an working. Really liked the setting with the little porches around the pool and all the gardens. We arrived late, cooked dinner in the kitchenette and swam in the pool with the night lighting. Very nice atmosphere. Only thing we didn't like was the noise on the road from behind - was on the weekend and could here several loud motor bikes going by throughout the night."
